A brilliant little Bar/Cafe with a very unique look and an feel with a good selection of drinks, food menu is small but interesting. Includes a gift shop to purchase some very quirky curio's.

Found this fabulous place for brunch on NYE when visiting a friend locally. Food excellent, atmosphere quirky and cosy. We received service with a big smile and a huge dollop of interesting history about the house and its fairly recent refurbishment from the delightful owner. Definitely worth a visit.

Really excellent renovation of a wonderfully historic and atmospheric building. This was my second visit and it was just as good as the first.. Attentive service and the best French toast I've ever tasted made even better by the berry compote and cinnamon cream. A real treat.

What a beautiful place!!! The service and the interiors - both exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately the food wasn't as amazing and the menu only consists of small dishes (but in good price). Overall, I would pop in again for a tea and cake ?Dietary restrictions: Vegan, vegetarian, GFKid-friendliness: Yes

Firstly, the building itself is stunning. An old house/inn gives slightly spooky vibes. The items throughout the shop/restaurant are fantastic and really adds to the decor. We decided to eat here and had lovely service from everyone. I had the patatas bravas which had small chunks of fried chorizo in. It was topped with a perfectly fried egg with a runny yolk. It was definitely the best I've had in a while. My wife had the croque madam which had an absurd amount of bechemel on top (the perfect amount!) If we come back to Barney we'd really like to pop in for the evening.

The building is beautifully stunning.. I would like to see it open on evenings for special themed nights like medieval and even clairvoyance, or even cocktail classesOr hire vikingsI genuinely believe that things like that would be popular and generate income ?

Me and partner loved this place. Very old building full of antiques and unusual curios ( many are for sale). Good food with really friendly staff. We will definitely return. 10/10

So nice to be able to enjoy lunch outside in the courtyard. Food was very tasty (fish tacos, coffee and walnut cake) Service quick, efficient and polite. Hope to be back soon..

Hot beef sandwiches with lettuce, mayonnaise and gravy, croque monsieur swimming in raw red onion, rude staff, dusty and cobweb ridden room, awful food - unpleasant service - and a dirty dining area. Awful. Avoid this one.

I love this place, it's amazing. The staff were brilliant. Hope to be back soon to eat, drink, stay in a room and buy that taxidermy Stoat. Highly recommend, you've got to see this place.
