7 of us visited on Saturday night and we all really enjoyed the ambience, service and food! We visited a couple of years ago too (we stay in Staindrop every couple of years) and this time returned with the rest of the family and still just as fantastic Highly recommended as a cosy country pub with well cooked delicious food!

Fell upon this pub last night and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere was amazing. Proper local community. Although a large party had just arrived they managed to fit us in. They did explain there would be a wait, but it was so worth it. Dave's knowledge of the pub and local area was great to listen to. Well worth a visit.Vegetarian options: There was a full vegetarian menu with 5 or 6 choices on there.

Went to the four alls tonight and can honestly say it was superb! I had steak and ale pie which was huge! So tasty with an amazing gravy! Asked for another jug which was no problem whatsoever. My mam had the chicken wrapped in Parma ham which she said was delicious. Dad had gammon which again he said was fantastic. Dad also got his French mustard which he can’t find anywhere. Would highly recommend this lovely pub. Best to book I think.

This is a fantastic village pub, cracking cask Ales and Dave makes a wicked Cocktail, the family are so friendly you soon feel like a local regular. We turned up with 3 dogs and they were also cared for. The food is fantastic home cooked top quality we all really enjoyed our meals. Christine's daughter makes a delicious Sticky toffee pudding. A small and very friendly village pub, and nice to see some interesting local cask ales available. Food was good, especially the chicken/Parma ham/ blue cheese dish. Service is excellent. My reason for dropping a star is that the pub's website shows a menu board that is obviously well out of date regarding pricing. Whereas the website example shows all mains a little under £10, in reality they are now priced at £15. I know there's been a period of high inflation, but this oversight meant our expectations didn't match what we found.Still worth a visit, and wise to book ahead for food as there is limited space.
Fantastic hospitality and excellent food. Nothing was too much trouble. Big portion size and steak cooked perfectly. Lovely atmosphere and prices reasonable. Will definitely go again.

The perfect country pub. The food was spot on, the drinks were reasonably priced and nothing was too much trouble for the landlord. Will definitely return if I'm in the area.Dietary restrictions: They had gluten-free and vegetarian options on their menu
