Food was absolutely amazing. Lovely Roasted herb chicken and my wife's beef was melt in the mouth. Sauces etc really complemented the food and dessert was great too apart from being stuffed. Friendly, friendly and helpful staff. Only thing is we reserved a table and got sat near the door so was a bit cold when people going in and out.

As a Coeliac, it is so difficult to find a restaurant who can deliver food that tastes good, looks good, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg!The Peppermill Bistro definitely checks all of those boxes. The food was amazing. They didn't have the meat that I wanted, but they were so accommodating and switched out for a different meat at no extra cost. The staff were friendly and the service wasn't rushed. It was a lovely and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be going back!!Very impressed.Dietary restrictions: The Peppermill had a full Gluten Free menu which had a lot of choice, which is a rarity for those with Coeliac Disease in a small town! They do not have a separate fryer, so I wouldn't advise having the chunky chips! But to their credit - The Peppermill state this clearly on the menu, which just goes to show how aware they are about cross contamination.I ate a full 3 course meal and was not glutened so thats always a massive green flag!!

The Peppermill Bistro is a very special place for me. I have celebrated so many birthdays and milestones here. It is now time for me to move back to the USA and I genuinely wish this restaurant would still be around the corner. I’ve never, ever had a bad meal from here and everything is always spot on and delicious. In a region where the same stuff dominates every menu, this place has been a haven for me! My mom who visited from America has also said this is some of the very best food she’s ever had. Looking forward to visiting in the future.

Went for a friends birthday. I had steak and it was superbly cooked and delicious. I’m eager to revisit. The surroundings are nice too.
