Very poor experience this evening! Food was mediocre at best and way over priced for what we got. The manager was abrupt and seemed annoyed we were not ordering starters - we were planning on having dessert but after the mains decided to leave. Nobody returned to the table to check the food was ok or offer more drinks. The fact my husband asked for a main and was told it would be 25 minutes to cook his made him change his order but we waited that amount of time anyway just let the place down. Nothing positive to say except the girls taking orders were pleasant. Will not be back!

We did not really like our pizza, they were quite bland.Also it’s a shame they don’t accept dogs being a small village restaurant.

We were on our way back to our cottage with our guide dog puppy and wanted a late lunch. Passed the restaurant and then turned back as it was open which was great for us. I popped in and asked if it was ok to bring the puppy in. They don’t allow dogs but given he was in training they accommodated us. We are so pleased they did. The guy who served us was lovely. I had a prawn cocktail with chips and the other half the best chicken Kiev pizza she has ever had, high praise indeed! Couple of pints of Italian larger and a soft drink. Great value and good food. Would definitely return if back in the area. Oh and thank you for letting the puppy in he was a good boy so no problems,

We went for some snacks around lunch time which was quite nice but the dinner later on was fantastic. Staff were lovely and welcoming. The whole meal was great but the lobster ravioli in tumeric sauce for starter was a winner, as were the steaks which were cooked exactly as we liked and very good quality.The restaurant atmosphere was relaxed and romantic. It's a popular place and I'm not surprised. If we come back down we will definitely be back.
