Although it was Mothers Day and we hadn't booked anywhere for lunch , we managed to get a table at The 68 Cafe . 3 adults , we all had roast beef Sunday lunches . 1 piece of caramel cake ( it was quite a large piece ) and 1 Apple and blackberry crumble with custard . 1 decaf tea , 1americano (large ) and a flat white ( large ) , also a fentimans soda .Total about £52 Well worth it and the atmosphere was buzzing . Thank You xx

It was packed but it didn't take long to serve us we both had mince and dumplings with vegetables. I don't know what I expected but I was disappointed.

Visited for breakfast was led to a seat next to the door I asked to be seated further in this was met with derision by a snouty nosed waitress with a poor attitude. She then left us sitting for 15 minutes walking by with a sarcastic smile and not taking our order. Perhaps a course on customer care wouldn’t go amiss here. We left, I’m not paying good money for poor service.

We were a party of 8, and we had booked as the Cafe is very popular and gets very busy. The food was well cooked, hot and plentiful, 1 had Scampi, 2 people had Beef and the rest had turkey. We were given lots of extra gravy and plenty of sauces. The beef was so tender, it melted in the mouth. Several of us had puddings. Fabulous service nothing was too much trouble.
