My fave Chinese takeaway in Consett, has been for many years. Quick delivery, good food. The King Prawn with mixed veg in Kung Po sauce is superb! Nice people too, I did some work at their house years ago, and they gave us all free homemade meals for our lunch! ?

This has been my favourite chinese takeaway for almost 23 years but tonight it was awful. So disappointing. They've changed the prawn crackers- too thick now. The curry just didn't taste the same. The order was also taken wrong and I got plain rice when I'd asked for fried and it was also cold, arriving half an hour after the stated time of 45 minutes! Will give it a miss for a while till the disappointment fades.

Having lived in the locality for 30 years & using the same Chinese takeaway I’m very disappointed with the food service as of this year 2023. The food is not as it usually is mixed vegetables consist mostly of onions, green peppers & a little bit of carrot the quality of food has declined drastically since they had there overhaul of the shop from this year & probably the kitchen staff also.

Worked there for 2 nights as a delivery driver ! you get £20 standard and for the hours I worked I only broke even on my fuel as they take money from the delivery charge .
Went down hill sad to day, and won't be my regular anymore. Chowmein been disappointing, not alot of chicken and was bit too undercooked for my liking. My most recent Chinese had a long thin bone in my duck spring rolls, and were very soggy.
