Pont Rd, Leadgate, ConsettHeard great things about the food here and it did not disappointment, we had the steak and a hot beef bap and they were lovely.
It would be great if they included a menu for dogs as it would have been nice to give our boy something.
Also our table in the bar was in a slightly awkward spot with people moving through us to get to their seat.
A very lovely pub all around, will definitely come here again.

10-11 Front St, Shotley Bridge, ConsettCame here for Sunday dinner and it was lovely! I had the nut roast, which was great of them to offer. It was delicious. My partner had the chicken dinner which he also spoke highly of. Only thing to note was that the gravy on the vegetarian Sunday dinner was very thin and the parsnips were slightly undercooked- but I can’t knock them for that, as otherwise it was beautiful.
The staff here were really lovely and attentive. Really polite young people who are an absolute credit to the establishment.
It was also very reasonably priced!

Number one industrial estate, Unit 33F, ConsettI took my 13 month old grand daughter for the first time on Wednesday, she LOVED IT, what a wonderful place, I’ll definitely be taking her back when she is over again.
So many things to occupy and stimulate and so clean too.

- Prepared and served by the dream team of Consett's own Kitt Harrington and the mysterious lady on the grill. Outstanding work!
- nice, thick bacon, 2 good eggs, perfect hash browns, decent pot of tea.
- everything seems clean, well ordered.
Less good:
- 'fun size' bangers (they were tasty)
- no tomatoes, mushrooms or black pudding.

I’m not a huge Costa fan and would prefer to go for an smaller independent coffee shop, but they are becoming increasingly hard to find and I can’t fault anything about my interaction, the young lad brought over my hot chocolate and triffin over to me offering a pleasant experience.

My son ordered the pizza on just eat and mistakenly ordered garlic sauce on the pizza not in a pot by mistake, he never changes his order but I have to say pleased he did the pizza was the best pizza yet. The staff also provided us with a pot of garlic sauce which he didn't have to do. Fab food and fab service .

41 Medomsley Rd, ConsettVisited on a Sunday afternoon for the first time. On first impressions, the recent renovation is lovely with nods to Victorian decor. Nice and clean in the lounge area. Friendly welcome by two young staff who recommended drinks. Pint of Fountain was enjoyed by the hubby but my beer shandy was disappointingly flat and warm. Very quiet and no atmosphere in the lounge unless you like football on tv - no music or anything. Bar seemed busier with groups of lads. 5/5 for decor and staff, 3/5 for drinks and atmosphere.

1-3 Middle St, ConsettLove this pub, i asked a mate a while ago whats the best pub in the small town centre ?, He said this place soi went & actually loved it..wetherspoons was absolutely rammed (no seats) so i walked out & came here, plenty of seats and an open plan set up really..Some of the older ones eyed me up but you get that in most pubs..staff very friendly and music was very low, plenty of screens to watch , i think the toilets are upstairs but i never went so cant confirm that..would i go again of hell yes, ? ?

Iveston, ConsettWhere to start - what an amazing night, with absolutely delicious food and very friendly not intrusive staff. Don't be put off by the look of the outside, inside the decor is very nice. There was 8 of us in the group and we asked for a round table for ease of seeing everyone and chatting. We had a private room with a large round table with a lazy Susan (is that what the moving part of the table is called?). We chose the set menu and it exceeded all of our expectations. Fresh, tasty food, well presented - with plenty left over which was boxed up for us and we took home.
It was quite a drive out for us but we would all go again as probably the best food we have had for a long time- highly recommended by us all.

The Cricketers, 66 Durham Rd, Blackhill, ConsettOne of the better pubs in the area as can be seen by the amount of people visiting. Mind it was a beautiful sunny evening. Outside beer garden was full with plenty of TVs to watch sport, if that's your thing.
Inside was pleasant. We didn't have food, so can't comment. Lots of younger folk in so lovely vibe.
Servers were fast and friendly. Prices good too.

Knitsley Farm Shop
East Knitsley Grange Farm, Knitsley, ConsettMagic, wonderful, marvelous, so much real food in such nice surroundings.
I've been meaning to come here for a long time and I'm pretty sure it's the only real butchers shop left in the area. I had all but stopped buying sausage because of the additives they put in them nowadays and I won't buy meat products from the supermarket.
I can even buy real local honey, rather than the stuff they bring in from china, which is mixed with sugar syrup and sold as real honey in the supermarkets.
Everything from fruit and vegetables to home baked produce.
I'm gonna keep coming back time and time again and I'll have a coffee next time.
