Shop very nice and clean, nice staff. Food dreadful! Ordered collection meal deal. Garlic bread cold and rock hard, pizza was Very bland and dry, chips were scrag ends, Donner meat ok. I thought third time lucky? But should have stopped when I got fish patty and chips once, and the fish was grey inside.

Updated again December 2023. Delighted to say this chippy changed hands again and is once more a great value fish and chip shop with huge portions of tasty fresh fish, chips and many more dishes I've yet to try can now highly recommend it again.Updated April 2018 - what used to be my favourite chippy has now changed hands - for the worse. No more fresh crisp food, what is served now is limp, greasy and unpalatable, I've tried it 3 times since it changed owners and each time most of the food went in the bin as it was inedible what a shame they couldn't keep up the previous great standards.Please see above update for upgraded rating 2023.

Great fish shop.. portion sizes are amazing food is always gorgeous cod bites and chips is enough for 2 people..only downside is everything cooked to order so there sometimes can be a bit of a wait if they are busy but it's well worth it 5 stars from me!!!

We was on holiday and staying in the area so I stopped here for fish and chips, friendly service, fantastic portion size and lovely tasting cod, exactly what I wanted at a good price, what more can you ask for.

First class fish and chips. Headed over while in the area volunteering for a local event in the South Park. Lovely fish, really good chips peas and curry sauce and immaculately clean place. Staff friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back. Impressed.
Waited 40 minutes for 2 x chip butties and 2 x sausage. All of which were undercooked! I received battered sausages for some reason, even though I asked for 2 x regular sausages. I was told you have to specifically say "non battered." Unfriendly staff who clearly weren't interested. The fryer was still cleaning the windows 5 minutes after opening even with a queue of people waiting.

Asked for a chicken & doner wrap to be told they had no plain chocken so then asked for just a doner one to be told that they hadn't cooked the doner meat one so then asked for a chicken tikka wrap with salad, they didnt even put the salad in it it was in a box because they forgot about it so had to open it all ip to put it in ourselves. We also had 2 pies, well they had juat been miceowaved and the pastry was just soggy and the neat i side looked like a tin of dog food we couldn't even eat them it went straight in the bin. What a waste of £20. If I could give 0 stars for food I would.

Visited last Friday evening on our way back home to the Midlands.We were blown away with the generous portion sizes and the quality of the fish and chips.The best fish and chips by far - just wished we lived nearer to take advantage!
