I booked the Tapas Bar on behalf of DarlingtonOS for our after show party. George, Chloe and all the staff were just brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We ordered the buffet menu and there was an excellent choice of food and plenty of it. They catered for all people with dietary requirements, Veggie, Vegan and Gluten free. All who attended said they loved it, it was a great venue with atmosphere and they loved the food. I will certainly be booking again. Some are even going to book with family as they loved it so much. Why cant this be closer to Lincoln......called in after seeing it on facebook, far and away one of the best takeaways ive ever been to, the pizzas are so good, crispy cheese without being burnt, plenty of toppings and the dough is just the right level for me, not one for the thin and crispy lovers though. We got the slice box and there's more than enough for two people. What stood out was just how friendly the staff were, so many places fall down on being miserable to customers, these guys were chatty and welcoming. Will definitely call in next time im in the area

We celebrated NYE with good friends at the Brinkburn. A good crowd, not over full and a wide selection of ages. The entertainment worked really well. The DJ played music for all and worked hard and successfully playing a few daft games that got everyone involved. All this whilst maintaining a fun atmosphere that allowed people to talk amongst themselves as required. The bar staff were excellent to a person, working really hard, cheerfully and full of smiles. A very good way to see in the New Year

The food for all four of us,at a 60th birthday celebration was delicious and tasty.Three of us had a mini pudding and drink which finished the meal off amazingly.The birthday lady had a sticky toffee pudding and the chef had added a candle and written birthday on too which was such a special touch.

Visited today after seeing its been reopened after a refurb and new ownership. Lovely welcome from Demi, Lunch menu fab value, £13 inc drinks. had a small fish and chips and was lovely. piping hot and fresh. nice little curry sauce with it also. Finished off with a mini dessert and coffee. All in all , fab value and they have a lovely beer garden also. Fab food and service. Get yourselves down there. thanks guys and best of luck.

Genuinely did not expect to find Indian food this good in Montenegro. Masala Art in Podgorica is the real deal, the kind of place where the spices are balanced, everything is fresh and the staff makes you feel like a regular from the first minute. The set menu for two is great value and more food than you can finish. The atmosphere is beautiful too, very calm and carefully put together. If you are travelling through Podgorica, or even just stopping over on the way to the airport, make this your last meal. You will not regret it.

I recently visited this Kandy Grill and tried their veggie burger and orea milkshake. Honestly, I was impressed!

The burger was absolutely delicious – juicy patty, perfectly toasted bun, and the sauce added just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the taste. The layers were well-balanced, and every bite felt satisfying.

The milkshake was super thick and creamy, just how I like it. It had a rich chocolate flavor without being overly sweet. A great companion to the burger, especially if you’re in the mood to treat yourself.

Prices were cheap too – For the taste and portion size, it felt like good value for money.

Service was quick, and the staff were friendly. The place was clean, and the vibe was chill and casual – perfect for a quick food break.

We’ve just been in on Valentine’s Day with our two young kids and the team couldn’t do enough for us. Food was absolutely delicious and our little girl said ‘this is the best cafe ever!’ Price was spot on and we had the bottomless tapas so we tried lots of different items and every single one was cooked to perfection.

We’ve been a few times before now but never got round to leaving a review. Today was just so special with that extra level of service for the kids too, I couldn’t not leave a review.

This is the first Indian restaurant I’ve found since moving up from Kent, a year ago, that actually tastes authentic. Amazing food, with lovely flavour. Keeping in mind that I am picky and have dined religiously at 5 star restaurants in London, I can say it’s good quality. The inside is more of a cosy & casual environment, so perfect to visit even for just a quick meal. Additionally, the staff here are well-mannered and friendly, especially the younger man that engaged in a conversation with us!

Honestly these guys delivered for me. All i wanted last night was a kebab wrap with the chips and sauce inside the wrap.

Surprisingly a hard thing to find in Darlington.

I asked in the notes with a little bit of hope as I wasn't well last night. And boy did these guys deliver.

It was exactly how I wanted. An absolute treat. Thank you very much pizza town.

Stopped into The Quaker House for a pint and a bit of refuge from the noise of the world. Funny thing about pubs the good ones don’t shout at you. They just sit there quietly, like an old mate who already knows your troubles.

The Quaker House has that sort of feeling. Warm lights, proper conversation, and no one trying to turn the place into a disco. You can hear yourself think, which is rare these days. Pint was honest, staff were kind, and the whole place felt like somewhere songs could happen naturally not manufactured, just lived in.

Saw a few characters tucked into corners solving the problems of the universe over crisps and ale. That’s Britain at its best, really.

We had a lovely meal here tonight. We rang ahead and booked a table as it was a 20 min drive from home. We were greeted warmly, and seated straight away. We had cod and chips, battered sausage and chips and haggis and chips. All the food was delicious and freshly cooked. The fish was perfect, with lovely light batter, and the chips were tasty. We were impressed at how fresh the food was. We all had a dessert too, as we were feeling frivolous - sticky toffee pudding, chocolate fondant and cheesecake. All served with a choice of Archer's ice cream or custard. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The restaurant is bright, well decorated, and very welcoming. I would highly recommend a visit and the recent award is well justified. There is a small car park too, we were lucky to find a spot! We will definitely return.

My good neighbour treated me to a pizza. And what came was more than enough for me. And it was nice and hot . Pizza, chips and garlic bread. And as much as it was good. I’ve had to leave some for tomorrow night. I’d certainly get more from this pizza shop ?

This was a superb pub for drinking, incorporating a stylish design from the patterns on the walls! The lights have an interesting layout how they are hanging down together and counter is styled well too, including mock greenery and a comedic Nobody Gets Out Alive sign. I had a refreshing pint of Cruzcampo, appreciating the outdoor seating area that was also kept clean!

The Forum Music Studios

I have seen 'Favourite Child' at quite a few smaller venues across the North East. These venues are providing new bands the opportunity to build up a following and gain valuable experience in the art of performing.
The Forum Music Studios is a first class venue. The stage is a good size. This isn't always the case. The venue seems more than capable of catering for a few hundred people. There is also a sizeable bar to quench the thirsts of that crowd.
'Favourite Child' were on top form. They continue to get better and better. The venue must have suited them. They suited the crowd as they were very well received. They have already released a couple of singles and are set to release more. Their varied set shows how they are expanding their individual style. With venues like The Forum Music Studios giving these bands the opportunity, the only way is up.
I wish I lived closer. A ticket costing only £4-50 to see three excellent, up and coming bands. Excellent value for money. Hats off to those with the foresight to provide these valuable venues.

This was my second visit and I thought it was time that I posted a review on a much deserved little eaterie.
Smack bang in the middle of Darlington, yet up a little alley that makes you feel like you're abroad.
The staff are fantastic and so enthusiastic about their food and drinks, you know that you are getting the best quality and definitely value for money.
