We went for Afternoon Tea and it was delicious! Lovely amount of sandwiches and the cakes were lovely! Even managed to have a few to take home and enjoy later on! Great service from Sam, Dennis and Katie! Would highly recommend

We visited on a weekend spa break. The level of service we received from arrival to departure was nothing short of outstanding. The room was immaculate with beautiful views overlooking the gardens and golf course. We had dinner in the clubhouse restaurant. My partner has various intolerances and to say the staff were helpful would be a disservice. They went out of their way to help my partner make choices suitable to her dietary requirements and the chef even custom made a main course for her!!! Amazing!!! Thank you Helen and Mat. The spa is fantastic, the gardens are beautiful, this is a first class place from top to bottom but what really makes the difference here are the amazing staff. Would definitely recommend; we’ll be going back many times.

Service with a smile , as regular customers we just want to say how great the service we receive is from Helen and Becky these girls need a lot of recognition. Always attentive, happy and 5 star absolutely perfect.

This was the 5th year we have stayed at Rockliffe Hall and the level of service and efficiency in all areas of the hotel and golf club which started as excellent seems to still improve on each visit. Every member of staff was both friend, efficient and helpful. The quality of the large lawn areas is extraordinary and the renovation of the New Hall bedrooms is very impressive. As always the quality of the food and menus was also very good. Congratulations to all involved at Rockliffe

Absolutely stunning! whilst very fancy it had a relaxed air , was extremely spacious and lots of very well maintained areas to choose from. Good and staff wonderful and outdoor spa a fab experience. The breakfast was very nice and we chose club house one morning and orangery the next - we walked out one evening to eat at the local pub which was also very nice.

Arrived at this fabulous hotel on August bank holiday Saturday for a friend’s wedding, Andrew greeted us on arrival with a lovely friendly smile fetched a trolly for our luggage and then parked our car for us ! What a lovely man he is , When we entered our room i can honestly say it’s one of the best I’ve ever stayed in, everything about this hotel is 5* plus plus the bed is soooooo comfortable everything is immaculate , food is wonderful and the service is superb. I would like to give a shout out to Raju ( that may be spelt wrong sorry) he served us in the orangery for afternoon tea and 2 of the children are gluten free but wanted a hot chocolate so he found some chocolate they could have melted it and made them their own hot chocolate, ( if anyone can complain about that kind of customer service they are off their heads he went above & beyond) all the staff are excellent the place is excellent it’s just excellent, Thankyou Rockliffe for giving us a very memorable bank holiday weekend. We will certainly be back. Janice x

We stayed at Rockliffe hall for 3 nights during the Aug bank holiday weekend. Despite saying they are a family friendly hotel if you have kids you can only use the hotel pool 2 hours a day , one hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon - if you have young children these times are unsuitable due to nap times etc . The breakfast service each day was awful. 5 members of staff waiting on 3 tables and we had to wave them down constantly to get served. Day 3 they forgot my breakfast completely. Also on day 3 they advised there was no continental buffet because they had a large wedding party so had made the buffet private just for them but if we wanted anything from the buffet a member of staff would get it for us. Given how bad the service was already this just added to the delays . I also asked to book afternoon tea as it was my birthday and was told due to the wedding, there was no afternoon tea but on walking past the main restaurant that afternoon saw a number of tables sitting enjoying afternoon tea. I complained about this and the breakfast service during checkout and was only offered an apology , no offer to refund breakfast etc which I expected at the very least. I was also told someone from the hotel management team would call me to discuss my complaints - no one has called. Basically if you are part of a wedding party at the hotel you will be treated like royalty, if you are a mere guest, don’t expect any level of service or consideration even if you are paying for 5 star service . Will definitely not be back. Beyond disappointing

We had our wedding reception at Rockliffe July 2023. Everything about the day and our whole experience was amazing! The food was so good (we've had lots of compliments) and the toastmaster ensured that everything ran smoothly on the day. Every time we have been to Rockliffe, the staff have been so friendly and attentive and the wedding day was no different. Chloe and the events team during the run up were so accommodating and helpful and Aravind and his banqueting team were amazing - they looked after us and or our guests so well on the wedding day and during breakfast the day after. It really made the difference having such an experiened, great team looking after us! We're so glad that we chose Rockliffe and would recommend it to any engaged couples. Enjoying the suite and relaxing in the spa the day after was a real post-wedding treat too! Thank you so much for our perfect, memorable day!

Exceeded my expectations. Staff were amazing and so helpful. The spa treatment was outstanding. Worth every penny. Oh and the food was delicious. I’ll definitely return again with my friends that have seen the pics and now want to visit.

We visited on Sunday afternoon for afternoon tea in The Orangery. When we first arrived, we were greeted at the main door by a very welcoming gentleman, and as we passed through the reception area the two staff members who were in there both looked up and greeted us as well. When we got the orangery, we were met by another polite gentleman who showed us to our seats and took our drinks order, which then arrived very promptly. The food was absolutely sublime and we really enjoyed every single item! I’d like to pass on a big thank you to the chef and kitchen team for this. We had one vegan and one vegetarian in our group, and the staff were very accommodating with this. It was a very slick operation and we received each part of our tea very quickly, but at the same time we didn’t feel rushed at all. Following our afternoon tea, we went into the lounge area for drinks, and once again we were made to feel very welcome by the barman. Once we’d ordered our drinks and sat down, two of our party realised they’d mixed their drinks up with one another - the barman noticed they were looking at them and came straight over to make sure everything was okay. A superb afternoon all round - we’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others!

Amazing luxurious 2 day stay at Rockliffe. Superb room and Spa. Restaurants are first class. The staff were so attentive and friendly - Lovely Keith parked the car, offered us a ride to the clubhouse when it was raining . Hannah gave us a seamless check in and Alison a very informative tour . The grounds and the garden are beautiful ( recommended by Alison) Nothing was any trouble . The staff made us feel very special. Thanks to Gabriel at the Spa. Peter at the Spa Garden and Amy for the seamless check out and water for the journey home . Rockliffe staff - you think of everything and are so welcoming . Can’t wait to return and experience it all again in rain or shine it’s just the perfect getaway .

Had a lovely girly day at Rockliffe and visited the Clubhouse just for a drink. The service was exceptional and the young lady Helen so helpful and friendly. Her wine knowledge is first class and she can never do enough for you.

A must stay in the North East. Keith was great driving us around the golf estate and resort grounds in the buggy. A great variety of rooms from old to new, and plenty of food options from fine dining to golf/spa brunches. A really pleasant stay to keep returning to.

A “resort”’hotel delivering 5* service overall. A haven for golfers however non golfers are equally well catered for; spa, tennis, bikes and a range of food offers make it a great visit. Rooms are superbly maintained. All credit to the management team led my Jason and Alex along with an excellent team of staff! Concierge team are spot off. Two other personnel to mention by name are Ruth (Nu Sana) and Alison (DM); really do deliver great service!
