Went for breakfast, came very fast and a lot of selection. Really cannot fault the prices, a breakfast muffin with unlimited coffee for under £4. American pancakes also worth a go!

I decided to take the family for a light lunch as a regular customer, however today’s experience wasn’t great. We decided to go for the 10 inch wrap option which turned out to be a disaster. The contents within the wrap were non existent, over done chips and hardly any chicken or dressing.Staff require better training, one particular individual vanished when challenged about the quality of the food and service. I did get a refund for the food only, but never got offered a replacement or a full refund for all the meals due to the quality of service. Observe the pictures and judge for yourself. ??This needs to improve in my opinion as the town is now becoming a hotspot for dining and has a buzz. Merry Christmas Wetherspoons ???

Had fish and chips and 6 pints of fab ales for £17. Food great what's not to like. Will return. ??

Went for brunch. Ordered food that came quite quickly. The server was very helpful.Parking: The William Stead does not have parking. There is, however, a multi-storey car park quite close by.

Was doubtful about eating here after reading the reviews but really enjoyed it. Pub was very busy but we found a seat and ordered on the app. Drinks came really quickly and the food not that long after. I had lasagne and chips and my husband had ham, eggs and chips and no complaints at all. Ok not gourmet style food but it was tasty and not expensive. Happily go there again.

This is my second time visiting the William Stead pub.The staff member that dealt with me was very friendly.I had the afternoon deal fish & chips with green peas and a Leffe beer. The fish was on point, nice crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.I’ll definitely come back again.Kid-friendliness: They have kid friendly menu’s.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a down floor that’s accessible.

This was only awarded 3 stars for service because of the volume of crowds who arrived from a 60's show nearby. Otherwise, this would have been awarded 5 stars for service.Vegetarian options: Options are mentioned on the menu of choices available.Dietary restrictions: As above.
