Authentic Italian food in an Authentic Italian atmosphere. 3 courses for under £15. Can't fault it. And fabulous wine. Food was fresh and delicious. We will be back.

Don’t know if we just caught them on an off day but we did not have a good experience here, we initially came in as a walk in, place was half empty but waited ten minutes for staff to come and actually seat us, then after getting seated the wait between getting served to getting food was just ridiculous as well, when the food finally did come it was so bland and flavourless, was really disappointing. On top of all this and me saying that the food was not nice at all, upon asking for the bill they then added a service charge on top of it, 10% it was. Now we normally tip that’s no issue but it just felt so rude for them to add this on without customers consent, especially after the customer making a complaint, we didn’t even bother mentioning the wait time either, didn’t bother tipping after being frustrated by this.Now I know this isn’t the restaurant’s fault but just so people are aware, the place had two other tables full, which we were unfortunately sat right next to, both full of obnoxious uni students who were just ridiculously loud and just had no courtesy for other people in there.

The location is great and the view is amazing. We tried the gnocchi, carbonara, capriciossa pizza and prawns. The first three tasted average but the prawns was excellent! Have had better gnocchi and pizza and wouldn’t recommend these but the other two were great! Service was excellent and great vibe overall!

We arrived in quite late and the staff were happy to serve us even though we were the only table. Excellent food and lovely inexpensive cocktails. Would definitely recommend!

We had a thoroughly excellent lunch here - the food, service and prices were all absolutely spot on. In particular we all really enjoyed the Focaccina All’Aglio - that was superb.Would highly recommend Picco to anyone visiting Durham and will certainly be back next time I’m in the area.Thanks for a lovely lunch ?
