The American lady was extremely polite but little can be said for the cafe its self. They made it all cash free as well as putting self serve tills in which don’t update to what they have sold out of. We order had to wait for the drinks to come then be there ld that every bit of food we ordered was sold out and when she came with different things they were dry and discussing. As well as the car it self has gone down hill very dirty and takes sticky

I usually go for coffee or coffee and breakfast 2-3 times per week. Staff are friendly. But now they have gone cashless I can't order coffee or food from a human it's all machine. No I don't want to order by machine I don't want to pay by card for a simple coffee or juice for my daughter it's ridiculous. I'm no paying by card... Cash is my way.. me and many others Walked away today. We should have a choice of how we want to pay.Machines just putting people out of a job

Went to the counter and some random blonde was speaking as spit flew into my face. I told her about it and she smacked me clean across the face. I grabbed her and put her in arm bar because who the flip does she the think she is. Anyways im now serving 23 years for 1st degree murder. Overall, bad

I come here allot. Food is lovely and so well priced but what makes it the most is the staff they couldn’t be more helpful and so warm with everyone. Definitely

I have ate at this cafe a few times now while working in the area, I always get poached eggs on brown toast and every time I have got it the eggs have been soft and runny on perfectly toasted brown bread, you always get a smile with your service and to be honest they are proper lovely nice people, by far one of the best Tesco cafes around the north east, trust me I have ate at them allParking: Easy to get parked and it is free as long as you are not parked for longer the 2-3 hoursKid-friendliness: Child friendly placeWheelchair accessibility: There are lifts going up to floor of cafe and a ramped escalator as well

Worst all day breakfast we have had in a long long time. Sausage rock hard, egg overcooked, hash browns poor quality. Sainsbury’s do a far better breakfast for same price and includes mushroom and tomato with substitutes if required, and always served with a smile. Tesco staff seem to have couldn’t care less approach. Where has the old Tesco Durham gone?
The staff here are fantastic. I visit regularly and am always struck by their kindness. They know I am disabled and they bring my hot drinks to the table for me if I am alone. I am quite immobile and tend to be a little unsteady. Wendy and Ryan are particularly attentive.Vegetarian options: There is always a good selection available and it's always well cooked. They excel at poached eggs!

My husband and I had breakfast here yesterday. It was all fairly average and the portions seem smaller than ever. One sausage, one rasher of bacon, a few beans, an egg and a hash brown. Half a tomato as an added extra was 99p and one mushroom 99p!!!!!!?!!!!!.My husband had no butter with his toast so he asked a staff member for butter, her immediate response was there will be an extra charge! She then gave him a butter portion when he said he didn't get any with the one slice of toast. It all came to £17! Two breakfasts one tea and one latte. My husband asked for mushrooms instead of an egg and was still charged despite taking the egg off. Will not go again, feel like Tesco is ripping customers off in any way they can. Keep your breakfasts Tesco!!!
