Very cool, relaxed place in Durham with smart modern decor. Food and service was excellent. Surprisingly busy for a Monday at 5pm so recommend booking in advanceParking: If you live near enough then walk in as parking is awful. Or park in the city and walk but but you’ll need to give yourself 15 mins to walk there. On street parking is available on the main road and down some side streets but is very limited and we got lucky.

Been a few times, generally better than this.The online booking system didn't work..our mains came before our starter !We waited an age for starter then when other around us and arrived later were served the same dish!Our mains seemed re heated n dry.Staff were friendly but the experience they provided was very poor I'm afraid.

Interesting menu with a few things you don’t often see. Great drinks menu. The restaurant has a lovely intimate, evening vibe and staff were great. The food we had was tasty, but not especially different to what we’ve had elsewhere, and therefore quite pricey by comparison.

The reviews are not wrong about this place. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The only reason I gave it a 4* rating is the seats we were given were very private but not comfortable enough for me we could have done with a little more space as the back of the seat was high and too straight, but I swapped with my husband to the other side of the table which was much better. Having said that this would not put me off going back it was otherwise fabulous with a great ambiance. The setting is like old China/England in the 1930s a good vibe.
