Hands down the best indian restaurant in town. Food is delicious. Delivery is always fast. I usually get the chicken tikka masala with not liking really spicy food but tonight I tried the chicken rogan josh to try something different for once and it was amazing. Would highly recommend to go here. I've been ordering from here for the past few months now and it has never failed to disappoint.

We come every fortnight and the food and staff are outstanding especially mehrab.We have been coming here now since king kong was a chimp and we wouldn't go anywhere else . Establishment is clean and tidy, menu excellent and very reasonably priced. Special menu available which is excellent before 7pm. Dont walk past. Best curry house in Hartlepool.

It's bad news when I've got to travel from Stockton-on-Tees on a train to Hartlepool to get a proper Indian. The Golden Gate must have been there 30 years now! they even catered for my wedding in 1998 and still they maintain this exceptional standard of quality Indian cuisine. A warm friendly atmosphere with fantastic service awaits all who visit, the prices are spot on.A real credit to the Owner and Staff, long may it last.Thank you,Michael and Joy.
The food was all served hot and with very little waiting time between each course. The food was very tasty and all the staff were polite and pleasant. Would recommend and will visit again.

Just lovely service and food. Had chicken tikka paneer followed by chicken kashmiri with the usual sundries, flavours gentle and portion size was spot on for a middle aged lad. Surprised this place isn't busier but I guess with the Royal still being shut afaik they don't get the passing footfall at the bottom end of Church Street. And not in a red light district to boot, as so many good restaurants are.
