When we eventually got the food it was lovely. Service was terrible, the waitress did not have a clue and was miserable. Only six people in the place and we waited for ages for food. But they did give us a reduction in price without having to complain. Atmosphere was non existent and it was freezing in the place. Used to be a great place to go but sadly it will be our last visit.

Don't believe the average Tripadvisor score. This "Italian" restaurant's reviews go back over 13 years. The average for the last 12 months will be 2.4 when mine goes in. Long waits for both courses even though the place was barely 25% full. When the poor chicken diane arrived it was lukewarm, and they said "the chips will be ready in a couple of minutes". When asked they did try to warm up the chicken, but failed, even though it went back into the kitchen for some time, by which time the chips had cooled down too. A very disappointing evening all round.

Awful! Wish we had read the reviews on here first, would not have gone. This place is so bad it needs reporting to the local authority. Not Italian, they had no mozzarella! so no tomato & mozzarella salad starter. Bruschettas’s strange not pleasant taste unlike anything I’ve had before in any Italian. . Like many other reviewers I could not detect meat in the Lasagne just a red mush - had better microwave lasagne’s. Salad tiny some cabbage stuff cut up mayo& breadcrumbs, not a salad! My friend had Chicken Diane fairly tasteless thick gloopy gravy & the same tiny poor salad. Waited for over half an hour for starters even longer for 4 mains and it was not busy. Staff seemed untrained did not attend to you much at all. Hopeless and disappointing. Don’t go there!.

We were with a large group, 40+, which is always a challenge for the kitchen and staff on top of other patrons. The whole thing was handled efficiently and expertly.I had pasta Con Polo, which wasn't really up to snuff in my opinion. Not horrid or anything, just a bit bland. The dessert, Biscoff Cheesecake, was very good and made up for it.My wife had the Chicken Alfredo and was pleased with hers, overall. She had Hot Chocolate Layer Cake for afters and said it also was very good.

Start to finish RUBBISH - service, staff, quality and lack of condiments. Food very bland. Garlic Bread with NO GARLIC - new one on me!!! Give this place a wide berth.

If I could give no stars I would. I was in a party of 24people they had the pre set menu 2wks earlier .the service was slow to start no one knew what was going on food OMG it arrived cold someone starter came with the main veg raw in a dish smaller then a hamster bowl then having to wait 45min between each course it was a farce AVOID AVOID

Usually Sunday lunch here is the best around and staff Very attentive. This week there was a huge drop in quality and service. The vegetables were rock hard, the meal had no flavour and the Yorkshire pudding was the worst I've ever had. Even the dog turned his nose! Guy dishing out the food had a bit of an attitude. Hopefully just a one off and gets back to it's usual self.

Marco?....POLO. Marco?....POLO. I assume the name comes from the game you play looking for the other players with your eyes closed. We played this with our starters and were relieved when the search was called off after about 45 minutes. In their defence the restaurant was "very busy" what with there being 2 other tables to serve at the time. After the head server apologised for the umpteenth time saying "I'll see where your starters are", one of our group said "have you tried the kitchen?" By way of apology we were brought some complimentary bread for the table. Which I feel terrible about because all these years I've thought that was common practise for any Italian restaurant just for simply being present in their establishment. Silly me. After being assured this wasn't normally this slow and that the bread was all freshly made in house, the pumice stone toughness, made us wonder if that might have been a bit of a fib. It wasn't all doom and gloom though, as I anticipated the arrival of my supermarket brand Tortellini (and I mean literally! Shop-bought, boil n the pan for 3 minutes pasta) we took in the ambience of the Grinch's Grotto. Authenticated by the freezing cold temperature of the room. "Cold in here tonight isn't it" the head server said, like she was at a bus stop making small talk to other passengers". Yes. Yes it is. But it SHOULDN'T be. We skipped desserts as we were terrified of what did, or didn't await us. All in all the "big light on" mood, surrounded by odd tacky Christmas decorations and framed pictures from The Godfather is a bizarre vibe. This restaurant doesn't know what it is, what it wants to be, or what it should be. Serving not freshly prepared pasta in an Italian restaurant is embarrassing and at £14.95, unforgivable. I have upped the rating to 2 purely because my fishcake starter was quite nice (when it arrived) But generally. Avoid.

Food so far fantastic, cheesy garlic bread was one of the best we've had, parmo's were spot on. Been a couple of times recently and been impressed both times, only marked down atmosphere as there wasnt many in when we were there. Staff are very friendly and helpful, highly
