Staying at Premier Inn next door makes it a great stop. Location is fab with marina views but the staff make it a real plus. Martin and Anne were most welcoming. They really care about customers.Parking: No probs as we were at the hotel 25yds away.

I ordered the vegan burger with chips, salad, vegan cheese, gherkins, burger sauce and bun and vegetarian lasagna with a portion of chips. Firstly there was no lasagna, so we ordered the cheeze pie and cancelled the chips. I thought the computer system would have shown this lack of stock. They didn't have vegan cheese and only a brioche bun containing dairy. I was asked did a still want it and thought it might be still good as it was £11.49. My photo shows the meal after I ate four chips, a strip of lettuce and a piece of burger. I asked about the burger sauce and gherkins and was told they might contain dairy. The other photo is from the menu. The staff gave us a round of drinks to compensate for the lack of food. This was a good response to the issue. My advice is to avoid any meals if they are missing anything.

9.99 for one adult and two children is fantastic. Great selection considering the cost easily worth £9.99 even if eating alone based on the cost of a McDonald’s or similar product these days. Michelle the server was great also made us feel welcome and made sure our parking was covered before sitting.

We went for Paul's carvery and as usual it was great, the meat was cooked just right and the cauliflower cheese is the best ever. Both Amy and Anne were so friendly even though they were so busy. We stayed over in the next door Premiere Inn which as usual was great, very friendly and helpful staff. On the evening we went to the bar and had a really good night thanks to Martin , Paul and Belle

Breakfast with Santa. Fantastic. The whole experience was wonderful. From personalised tables, special treats for the little one and lovely decorations. The staff, Mandy and Charlie were amazing - nothing was an issue for them, everything run beautifully and Santa was truly one of the best (and I know I used to hire Santas!) We were sat next to other friend groups which made the experience even more special. The of course the breakfast was lovely and service on the bar quick and cheerful too. We can't wait till book for next year. We've told other friends and family and encouraged them to join us too! Thank You The Stephensons

Went for a lunch with a friend to talk business. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was better than I expected from a chain pub. Standard pie but well cooked and got throughout with nice chips and gravy. Beer selection was limited even though they had hand pulls (empty) but as only stayed for one the Tetleys was adequate.Nice looking bar and eating areas with good character, not too busy considering it was the last weekday before Christmas.Nice venue on the near side of Hartlepool Marina, though that would be more important in summer as you could sit outside and admire the lovely views.Overall, very pleased with my visit and I would be more than happy to go again for a lunch or a pint.Parking: Enough parking, though might be tight if it was busy in summer. Three hours free and you register your vehicle inside the bar doors.
