This pub has an excellent selection of ales, lagers and ciders with 4 interior rooms, bar, pool room which doubles as live music or party room and two quieter snugs. outside boasts two fabulous beer gardens and the staff ensure that a great time is had by all. Would absolutely recommend to everybody.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome accompanied by parents until 7pm.

Quality placeFirst class place,1st class people...clean and tidy friendly atmosphere offering top quality products at reasonable prices. The staff and management are warm and pleasant as well as very knowledgeable. The Causeway offers 4 separate rooms, a pool table, jukebox which has speakers in all areas and two brilliant outside areas. An all round first class experience. The pub also has something on most of the time to include everybody. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Something for everybody here. Pool table, jukebox speakers everywhere including the outside beer garden areas, (recently renovated by non stop landlord Sean. The staff and management always have time for a quick chat and go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Large selection of reasonably prices ales, lagers, spirits and ciders. Visit here!!! The Causeway is an absolutely brilliant old world boozer with up to date jukebox which plays in all areas including the fantastic beer gardens. They are reasonabky priced eirh a great selection of real ales, lagers, spirits and bottled products. There is also a pool table and various rooms to accomodate different tastes. The management and staff always ensure you have a great time. Would totally recommend.

My favourite pub in England, The atmosphere is quiet and respectful and it is one of the last true victorian public houses in Hartlepool,the decor and service is second to none and Forgive my misspelling but the lady at the bar Amy is even more of an asset than the causeway itself!!Don't be fooled by her pool skills she will leave nothing on the table and steal your pride?6/5⭐ pub ?

What a pleasure to visit this classic old fashioned boozer. A great atmosphere with the landlord cheerful and happy, a rare thing nowadays haha. The Causeway has a great selection of reasonably priced real ales, lagers and ciders as well as special offers on bottles, shots and cocktails. All the pub needs is more support from the public, everything else is already in place. I will be returning for the extensive live music programme.

Massive thank you to Sean, Amy, Jordan and the rest of the staff for making me feel so welcome and at home. I wish this gem of a pub was my local back home!! The craic was first class and the beer the best ive tasted on my holiday. A clean, warm and friendly bar to relax in. Jukebox, pool table, seperate rooms ideal for meetings and parties, free wifi, and brilliant outside areas. All in all, a first class establishment well managed and fun. Cant wait for my next trip to Hartlepool as I'll head straight here and not move lol.

Gem of a pub with cask ales, lagers, ciders all reasonably priced and offers on bottles, cocktails, shots and shorts. Old pub in need of a bit of TLC, new furniture etc. Boasts a pool table juke box piped to two brilliant outside areas and a stage both inside and out, (doubles as a sun trap in the summer) for their live music programme. Two snugs and an area for larger parties. The management and staff are top notch and eagerly engage with their clientele. If I lived here, this would definately be my go to local!!
