Been tonight for bottomless brunch. I was sceptical about was it worth £35 per person but we were a group of 11 and it was worth every penny. The pub was really busy (which was lovely to see) but despite this the service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and the drinks were replenished regularly. There was a slight mix up with our food order, which I actually think was our fault, but they bent over backwards to rectify. There was a singer on who was brilliant but only complaint was he finished too early - managers took our feedback on board regarding this. Good luck to the new owners of the Fens and their staff, it was lovely to see it so busy and a really good atmosphere - I'm sorry but we will be back ?

Tasty Sunday roast, the beef was particularly tender, with extra gravy given to each table. Staff were very friendly and bent backwards to get us a table, at a busy time, even though we had not reserved. Atmosphere relaxed and friendly.

Visited here recently with my partner for evening meal and although it was early evening it was quite busy with a private function and locals eating out. Staff were friendly but never asked if everything was ok with meal . As a local Ive not been a regular visitor to this pub as feels it lacks atmosphere and being built in the 70s has no visual impact or features to make it interesting. The decor and furnishings are drab and stuck in a 70s vibe. Its not what I would call a pub or place for a night out with friends rather an eating place. However Its always had a good reputation for food and we have visited for Sunday lunch before. I ordered the small size mince and dumplings which was excellent value for money and cooked to perfection. My partner ordered chicken strips in a mustard and mushroom sauce which I thought was expensive at £13.95. When it arrived it came with a small portion of rice and chips, lacked presentation, was bland in taste and appearance he could hardly taste the sauce which was watery and the chicken was dry and stringy and not really in strips but small pieces of breast. He left most of the meal and we left him feeling hungry
