In here for the 3rd time since ownership change. Definitely going downhill. Chips greasy, batter inconsistent. Fish still very good. However, the worst thing for me was the way the owner/manager treated his staff. Belittling them in front of colleagues and customers, it bordered on bullying and if I'd been employed there I'd have walked out. I'd predict that if something isn't done about this situation the business will fold.

Amazing place! I go at least once a week, always on a Saturday morning, and never have a bad thing to say about the place. The girl at the front of the bar is always 5⭐️ so polite and remembers her regulars! You can tell she likes her job ?. Delivery is always so quick and the drivers are always very kind ?. Wouldn’t recommend on a Friday or Wednesday as delivery times are always slower but other than that never had any issues.

Ordered large cod and chips. Fish was ok but a measly portion of chips and the worst curry sauce I have had the displeasure of.It's really not difficult is it a simple English staple diet ruined. Poor show, won't return. Hope you take note.

£17 for 2 sausage and fish with peas and gravy. Took over an hour fish and sausage!! Rang up to be told quite rudely nothing they can do after admitting the sausages shouldn't have been together as will make them soggy. Wouldn't recommend to anyone ??

Used this place for years but first time today with the new owners. There was a hard piece of something in a chip but more alarmingly a long hair in the batter of one of the sausages. Won’t be going back. Avoid

Used this place for years. First time back since new owners took over and it will be the last. Portions were poor but more alarmingly had a long dark hair in one of the battered sausages and a hard rock type thing in one of the chips. What a shame. Used to like the food here.

It is now under new ownership, so went in yesterday to get 2 lightly battered fish and one chips, the fish bar was reasobaly busy, however 7 staff behind the counter with little supervision and none of them really knowing what was going on. Any way got home and found I had been given 1 lightly battered fish which was fine however the other fish was not lightly battered and was awful, dry and tasteless the portion of chips was miniscule, will not be going back here again, the old owner ran it perfectly and never had a bad take away from him. This place still only takes cash as well

10/10! Got yourself a new regular. Went Saturday morning and the girl at the front is always so kind!! I always have an amazing chat with her, the service is great and the food is amazing. Highly recommend.
LOVED THIS PLACE!!!! The atmosphere was very friendly and the owners was so kind as well. The food was so delicious and divine especially the chips. I will be a regular of the place from now on. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

So glad that I got recommended this place! The new owners are such nice people, very friendly and extremely welcoming!! Had a hard time reading the menu because of my dyslexia and they helped me out forever gratefully for them! The service was amazing and fast which I think is the best quality.The shop it self was extremely clean and very sanitary.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Best fish shop ever! Will be a regular here from now on! Me and my husband love the haggis and the owners were so lovely with my kids (aged 4 and 8) while we were waiting! Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic food, great service!!
