went tonight with my family, its became our new fave place to go, staff are amazing and food is delicious.

Great quality food and portion size at reasonable prices. Eat in atmosphere really isn't bad for an establishment that is primarily a take away.\\n\\nStaff on the counter could be a little friendlier and make clear some of what they're offering. I was offered \\\"Scraps\\\" on my chips and didn't have a clue what she was on about. Never been offered that before.

Food was very good! And staff were super nice. Went with my friends little boy and the woman who seated us could not have been more attentive. Kids meal a good size and the fish was huge!

Really nice meal, everyone enjoyed their food, including the chicken nuggets :)) It was busy on the day we visited but the staff handled it well. Can't wait to return here next time I'm in town.

Terrible experience at Downeys The Stack today. Extremely rude staff, lots of people waiting 30 mins plus for food and not the usual standard of food either. Usually go to Seaham Downeys and have never had a problem.
The two women serving were honestly awful, really not a nice experience. ?

Visited Downeys in Seaham today with my husband & elderly mother who is in a wheelchair. Very large portions of fish & chips were Devine with all the sides. Gordon the manager & all the staff were exceptional & made us feel so welcome. Very polite & friendly, nothing was any trouble. We will definitely be visiting again in the not to distant future. Highly recommend. It’s 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from all of us ?❤️

Don't know how to start.\\nPlace is clean and tidy. Basic but really clean.\\nWheel chair ramp into promises\\nStaff clear and helpful\\n\\nNow to the food rating.\\nPackaging.\\nIs absolutely brilliantly perfect.\\nChips are separated from fish. See pic.\\nSo you can spoil your chips rotten with gravey, curry peas or plenty of salt and vinegar . What's great about this is you don't spoil the flavour of fish. But,!!!! You could spoil your fish with out spoiling those chunky chips.. ...\\n\\nTaste\\nOh my god, I was in heaven,\\nI finished the lot and the next day I was not fit for breakfast.\\nI sent pic to all my friends and family and this chippy was 75% of the conversation.\\n\\nNo matter where you are in UK, many gems and this is one of them.\\n\\nLastly go and sit by tommy take in the view. And prepare your feast.\\nThat lid on the box will protect your feast from the Seagulls.\\n\\nWin win win.\\n\\nGreat East Coast Chippy.

The best fish n chips we've had. The fish was succulent covered in a thin tasty batter. The chips were nice and dry. Not covered in grease. Lovely.\\nWe'll be back.

Very delicious chips today, freshly made to order. My daughter loved her chicken nuggets too and it's a great place to sit in for your lunch. Got very busy as we left so get there early on a Sunday if you don't want to Q.
