“Our first visit with our 8 year old Grandson who could not believe all the artifacts around the place. A warm welcome from the lovely bar maid, waitress, jack of all trades. The garage was both a great view for both Grandad & Grandson who are both Motorsport mad. Grandad a marshall & also rescue crew. Food was first class & great value. The atmosphere was friendly. The highlight was Luke sitting in an old Oil Drum as a chair. We will be back. Food 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Welcome 10/10”

“A bustling little place for a little break where you can get breakfast, lunch and cake. I had Eggy Crumpet, which was a first for me! Clearly highly loved by locals, it is worth popping in.”

“Very lovely cafe in centre of Stanley. Few eating in tables, also tables outside.Handy location if visiting local attractions like Beamish Museum, Tanfield Railway or just popping out local for a bite to eat. They sell foods like Jackets, salads, paninis, hot and cold drinks or a nice cake from their large selection. They also have lovely pies and pastries. Greeted with a friendly service. Beautiful hot drinks. Enjoyed my Latte, have to say, it was up there for a favorite place for a hot drink, large selection and lovely and hot.

Parking: Behind Stanley main street , follow road past Asda and the sports centre to a large free parking area.”

“Big shout out the amazing staff member who served me and my partner today called janey, what an friendly and bubbly person she is and definitely an asset to asda. We went to get served from this lovely lady and on the way I noticed how bright and colourful she was dressed, I absolutely loved her hair peace that I found out she made herself when asking and she passed it over for me to use while at work myself. Hopefully she sees this because I can't stress enough how happy it has made me to encounter just an lovely women. Thank you so much x”
