Popped in last night staff very attentive and friendly.Nice and cosy atmosphere. We had the 2 pub classics for £12.99 and they certainly didn’t disappoint.I went for the fully loaded chicken strips with sweet chilli and nacho sauce. My partner had the hunter’s chicken skillet. Both meals were beautiful, cannot go wrong for the price. We will definitely be returning, noticed they have quite a lot of live entertainment planned for the next few months, will be a one to add to our diary to make a night of it.

Took my partner in on 26/03/24 at 5,pmThe pub was very quiet plenty of space to eat the food worked out at £10 eachDrink prices were very expensive@£6 large house vodka as they don't double up for a £ like most pubsWe did find staff friendly polite & helpfulI also thought the young bar supervisor was great but waisted at that place, I might porch him lol if I get another pub what a shame I did not catch his name be a long journey back to porch himBut great guy new what he was doing enjoyed the banter with me

Great place took my mother for mother's day was great atmosphere also took my dog ? which not everywhere allows which is a shame but they couldn't have been more accommodating especially since he isn't exactly a small great dane hahaParking: The parking is more than adequate for the size of the place and is signposted at the entrance but you have to turn down the side of the building for the full car park only disabled parking at the front of the buildingKid-friendliness: Loads of kids were there with there families having meals the atmosphere while grown up was still child friendly and friendly in general

It has been 20+ years since I have been to the Hilltop it was a different place back then it was more of a bar stroke club, so after returning after a very long time I have to say I am very impressed it has been renovated to a very high standard and is warm and inviting we didn’t eat but had a good look at the menu and as we are both vegans there was enough for us to eat and the rest of the menu seemed very good and the prices are very reasonable we can’t wait I return to eat in the near future it seems to be a very busy well run establishment now and it was busy the food was being served regularly all in all in all we were very impressed

My 1st disappointment, of the Hill Top, ordered Chicken wings and fried wafers (chips), I always like to ear the wafers 2st, to my disappointment my first bite, it was stone cold,...the chicken wings were great, covered in JD sauce, also had dessert...

Food was freezing cold and tasteless.. my burger and fries were reheated and left to go cold again. The onion rings were frozen and cheap and was just batter no onion. My partners mixed grill was meant to be sizzling yet it didn't and the meat was that tough he cudnt even cut or chew it. The egg had been sitting under a hot lamp so was rubbery and hard.. the pop didn't even taste of anything it was more like soda water than Pepsi.. the staff clearly didn't wanna be there.. the girl who served us constantly had a angry face on. We won't be going back as it was disgusting ?

Very popular venue with easy parking and access to building. There's a good choice of food, well cooked, prompt service and the prices are very reasonable.Parking: Plenty of parking with disabled bays near the entrance.
