In October 2021 I visited The Lobster Pot with my family. We went a few years back on Father's Day and we booked a table. We got told that due to unforeseen circumstances we couldn't get to our designated table straightaway so we had to wait. Okay we thought, after 20mins waiting in the bar area we asked to see a manager which then we got told they was unavailable and we will be sorted as soon as possible. Another 10 mins went and then we got seated. Our order was taken straightaway which was good. We had two restless boys wanting some food. We thought we would wait after being told about the amazing food from some of our friends. Once our food arrived it was warm and okay not hot though. We might visit again in the future with our family maybe just for drinks instead as we do like the pub just on the way into Bridlington.

Spotlessly clean, plenty of milk for 2 cups of teas in the morning. There was noise from reversing lorries/vans in the morning. Bath and shower good.Food not good but will do a separate review for that. Parking good.

We're local-not been for a year or so as they used to be packed -poor service, poor food at low prices. They're not packed anymore, prices are 30-40% higher- great we thought, new chef? new menu. Sadly no, microwaved everything.I paid £16 for beef and chicken, tasted like a ready meal - mashed potato like smash, moist chicken one end, like leather the other. Menu sounds great - but no one cooks it- they just open up a pack and shove it in the 'micro-grill' a la 'wetherspoons'(who i review highly as they're cheap). You have some nerve to charge these prices for this standard. No one ever asks how the food is....very wise decision.

We saw this place on our way to the beach and thought it would be a nice place to pop to on our way home. After reading other reviews there’s no way we’d have gone if we’d seen these first but to be fair we had a good experience. We arrived with no booking and we’re seated straight away in a nice quiet area. I had scampi and my husband had a steak which he thoroughly enjoyed. Service was good. The only downside to mention was when our order was taken most meals we wanted weren’t available, it would have been good to know this when we ordered drinks. Other than this, we had a nice meal.

Called in yesterday - 20 June - for an evening meal as the hotel looked nice from the outside. Ordered fish and chips with bread and butter. Fish was two thirds batter and one third fish which was curled up. Very dry and tasteless! Had to ask for butter to go with bread! My partner ordered steak which was also very dry - which He ended up giving to our little dog. Had to ask for steak knife. Chips for both meals were undercooked. How I wish I had read these reviews first but it was our first day in Bridlington and we wanted to treat ourselves to a nice meal.

Hotel not to bad but needs attention to detail when cleaning. Food at restaurant was poor, evening meal chicken was very dry and the gammon was overcooked. Breakfast in the morning was awful it took 45 minutes for a cooked breakfast to arrive and was warm not hot , very disappointed as we would have come back to hotel as it had a restaurant, but will not now.

Stayed one night. The accommodation part looks new so all fresh and clean and with it being the other side of the car park to the pub, it was nice and quiet. Didn't eat there but the staff were polite and friendly when we checked in. A nice walk into town too. Anyone who complains about this place are the type of people who complain for the sake of it, for attention or are just plain nasty cos this place is great.

We been here last night and we didn't really enjoy. Half of the menu wasn't available, which is unusual for Friday night. My wife had steak and in the menu was saying the stake is coming with cook tomatoes and mushroom but when the food come out mushroom and tomatoes was missing, we ask one of the staff about it but didn't was bothering,so we had to ask about 2-3 times till we get the tomatoes and mushroom. Food wasn't very nice, not much flavour, really blend. When we paid the bill didn't even ask if everything was OK or if we enjoyed. We won't go back.

I stayed 1 night on the 10th June 2022, the room was OK and clean, but the restaurant was a joke, even though we had a table booked, we still had to wait. When we ordered food, we were told half the menu wasn't available? So when we did order the food took over 45 minutes, the meat on my mixed grill was only warm, within 2 hours of eating it, I became very ill and was stuck hovering over the toilet for another 2 hours, before I felt well enough to just drive home and midnight! Because all we wanted then was to go home, luckily I'd not been drinking so we just left. I will never eat there again.

Waited over an hour for food to say they would only offer a free round of drinks to compensate which we refused. They then offered 20% off. When our food came, one of the items we were expecting was a portion of beans. Literally the amount of a tea spoons of beans were served! We asked for more to which maybe a tea spoon more were added! Felt like they were being funny on purpose! Food wasn’t good quality either! Ridiculous!

Went for a family special meal arrived around 230pm very quiet but had to wait nearly 30 minutes before a young girl came to take our order as Sunday is table service. Our drinks came out and our pint of soda and lime was only half so when they finally brought our starters I mentioned this and another lady I presume was an assistant manager or supervisor s said she would get another drink by the time they cleared the starters still hadn't arrived. Our main meals came and I have to say my Sunday lunch chicken was inedible a yorkshire that along with everything else had either sat under the hot lamps or been microwaved as there is no mash potato with a Sunday lunch I ordered a side order of mash which again was in edible very powdery l tasted it and along with the rest of the meal was left. I took the chicken home for the dogs they at least enjoyed it. The other 2 meals we had were OK. We ordered desert and mentioned the drink again and it finally arrived to be fair the desserts were nice if not over priced.2 tables behind us sent their Sunday lunches back and refused to pay or have anything else. It's so sad that one of the better places to eat has gone backwards and doesn't seem to have any leadership on the way to our car we passed 3 or 4 dirty tables outside and as I say not busy however only saw 3 team working.

I didn't stay but called in for a meal with my partner. The staff are friendly but the food for the price is poor. I had scampi which was OK and my partner had hunters chicken, there was supposed to be chunky chips...no...just ordinary frozen chips that you purchase anywhere. Mushy peas OK but run of the mill and a dessert spoon size is not a portion...So including drinks nearly £30 for two ordinary meals is way over priced. Basic cafe style meals in an upmarket restaurant. All I can say is get an upmarket chef to produce upmarket food you can be proud of!!

Easy to book online; sufficient parking; good area outside for the kids and to enjoy some time in good weather; dined inside - pleasant environment; staff very attentive and polite; great menu; meals mainly good but I went for the roast dinner and the vegetables were luke warm at best among hot meat, Yorkshires and gravy. Still, enjoyable and the other meals appeared to be winners.

My wife booked a table for 13 people 5 weeks before our meal at 4.30 pm. We had to change the time 4 weeks before the meal to 5pm. Despite several emails we had no response so the day before the meal we called in to confirm that the change to the time was ok. Some of our party had to travel 180 miles from Northampton and when they arrived we asked for our table but we're told we were 15 mins late so they had cancelled our table! There is nothing on their booking confirmation stating a 15 min no show cancellation rule. Staff couldn't care less as this spend of 13 people didn't affect their wages. Marsden's not good enough compared to your other great pubs - this lot need sorting out......

Heidi was very professional when I was booking in. She asked if she could take a call while she was doing so. I replied in the affirmative. Although I could hear the customer ranting and raving on the other end of the phone, she remained professional throughout. Later in my say I was at the bar whilst she was talking to Jay. It was obvious through the questions she was asking, she wanted to know more. Jay was also very helpful to her and to me also throughout my stay.
