Our first night the food was just warm...the waitress just banged our plates on the table so we just ate and left. At breakfast the next morning the staff were lovely and friendly... even went to reception to find my tablets as I had left them by accident the night before. That evening the food was much warmer....but some of the "trimmings" were missing ie cauliflower cheese etc but we just ate and left. We had breakfast the next morning and decided not to stay another day.

Worst food ever!! Ordered a beef dinner all veg was like Rock. Beef I wouldn’t have fed it to my dog it was that chewy. Was all cold. Then for the waiter to say sorry about that no refund!!

Very nice meal. However the restaurant was heaving n the over worked staff could hardly cope. More staff required during festive season. Pre ordered festive menu, it was not clear that we had to book in again at the till, so to let the kitchen know. We assumed this would be automatically done when we booked in at reception.

Not happy with the service at all. Booked a table for 14 which i had to preorder which i did. After being told to call back, then call back again, then email, by this point i was fed up and refused to email. The lady on the phone was then very rude. When we arrived for the meal the tables were split....10 on one and 4 on another. This was not discussed with us previously. We ended up moving the tables around so we could all sit together. Staff were so unhelpful!Missed preordered sides from the main meals. Frozen tasteless veg. Desserts were not good. Overall the whole experience was awful. The staff need a lesson in how to treat customers! And how to use manners. Not happy at all. Definitely will not return

Was passing by on the way out of Goole, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Food is fairly priced along with the drinks.Parking: Parking is free for the duration of your meal but you have to insert your registration on entry to the pub.

We both had sausage with onion gravy with garden peas and a jacket potato, asked for well done sausage, got exactly what asked for. Good value for money.

Lovely place picked by my son to celebrate his birthday. 5 of us in total all ordered Sunday Lunch. It was very nice we all enjoyed te meal apart from the Sprouts which were like rubber and couldn't be cut with a knife . The service was very good and staff polite. Would go again. Problem was possibly due to amount of customers.

We stayed in the adjacent premier Inn and had breakfast .Service was prompt and I enjoyed the poached eggs bacon mushrooms tomato and black pudding .You can help yourself to cereal toast yogurt fruit juice coffee and tea .No one rushes you so you can take your time. The tables are a bit cramped !We hadn't booked for the evening meal and we were surprised that we couldn't eat there before 7:30pm . Unfortunately we were going to a concert in Howden at eight so no food for us!

Wene Monday for a pre Xmas dinner. This was served.very quickly with lovely staff. Only one thing wrong the sprouts weren't cooked enough they were very hard and I had to leave mine too hard for me to eat other than the sprouts everything about the main meal was fine. Two of us had the profiterole stack which was beautiful and there was lots of it.one of us the ice-cream sundae with matchmakers which was lovely also. All in all a good meal I.am.going again twice next week so was pleased it.was up to to scratch. Anne walker
