Very goodGoole review tempted us for a first time meal. Got there for 1pm. Quite busy, queuing for 15 mins. Got a table sorted and paid for the carvery and 4 drinks. Came to £50Got our food and sat down. All of us enjoyed it. Probably eat too much. They have pool table and a great family atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Wen t to the blacksmith arms hook for a Xmas meal.wuth about 20 people. There was only us 20 people in the pub. We had a three course Xmas meal which I couldn't fault. I.had prawn cocktail carvery Xmas dinner and a cheesecake all very nice. But my friends went for Xmas day dinner and paid 60 pounds and they weren't impressed. They had their meal booked for 2pm and there was no turkey left just strag ends of pork and the roast potatoes were hard all. the other veg was fine. When you.psy that amount of money on Xmas day you expect everything to be spot on. Anne walker

The food is a buffet its hit and miss whether its hot enough. I stopped going when the owner started charging £1 for water. When I objected he became belligerent.

Haven't been for ages but decided last minute to book a table for today 31st December. We were very much pleased the food was lovely and I'd go as far as saying best pub carvery I've ever had As a family we don't tend to go out for meat and veg which is why we havnt been in a while to this local pub , but have to say after today we may indeed be regulars it was lovely .And not expensive either .

Called here for Sunday lunch which is a carvery and we both really enjoyed it. You could choose 2 meats or 1 meat and pie with Yorkshire pudding and many vegetables to choose from. It was hot and very tasty. We will certainly return.
