Food was good. Service was good also. We just felt a bit rushed to leave @8:30. Mopping and wiping around our table.

Lovely meal here this evening, the food was lovely and all the staff we encountered were pleasant and friendly. If pushed the wait for our main meals was a little excessive but it wouldnt put us off coming again if we were in the

We ate on Sunday at 1730 it wasn't overly busy. The menu hasn't changed in 25 years. The food was average but took a long time to come. The onion rings were delicious. We ordered teas and coffees and actually were going to cancel them it took so long to arrive.Staff were helpful and courteous just need more of them at peak times. It was my mums birthday and I'd baked her a cake which they were happy to bring out which was lovely.Update the menu please

A group of us meet up every year for a pre Christmas get together. We all ate from the Christmas menu which you could choose either 2 or 3 courses. Some of my friends had starters which all looked delicious. I had Turkey for my main course which was beautifully presented with lots of seasonal vegetables. Very tasty and arrived hot with extra gravy, We all cleaned our plates. We all had the same dessert and that was presented beautifully too, and absolutely delicious. Everyone commented on the quality and presentation of the food and value for money. The Xmas decorations were lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us. We had a lovely evening and will all definitely be returning again very soon

On a wet and cold Friday lunchtime decided to give this place a try. Was not disappointed. We both had fish and chips which was excellent - fresh with homemade chips!

I would give the Percy Arms 10/10… on the disappointment scale. It was a birthday treat for me and it was a mess from start to finish. The building empty apart from one more table. We weren’t shown to our table the young man with his man constantly in his pockets said it was round the corner. We ordered drinks and my glass was dirty… The first of two waitresses came cane give menu, we all choose form the light bites… Three of the four garlic mushrooms came out and I had to ask for mine, she said “oh, I’ll get them to cook you some!” The plates were cold, and had some balsamic on them that that became the main flavour…. Watering, no garlic and few mushrooms… just awful Mains were no better, again cold plates. Tiny portions, and no care about how it looked, mine came with salad… but it was a flurry of garnish… nothing more. Three out of four had pudding because it the tiny portions, which were the best part of the meal… While it was cheap, £100 for four, it felt cheap and nasty too. Poor ingredients, poor service, poor everything. When will restaurants learn to have good waiting staff and not kids… the service can make or break your experience. Definitely never again!

We w tried the £14 light bite menu and I was surprised that that meant it was so meagre. I had the Brie bites- 2 overcooked empty breadcrumb bites. Then the “beef stew”. This comprised of 3 pieces of meat, two new potatoes and two pieces of turnip. This had a smear of mash and a ramekin of lfrozen peas. Sadly I left the pub hungry and determined to challenge the notion of lite bites - it should still mean a reasonable meal. It cost £14 so it should make you feel satisfied

Excellent food. Good service. Chicken sizzler sauce was beautiful. Salmon from the specials board was huge! Second visit here & won’t be our last!
