Had several visits to Lucien's in the past. But today I feel compelled to write a review. The barmaid who I have seen many times before, called Donna, has got to be the best barmaid ever. Always cheerful, happy to serve you, she is excellent. Had to say this cause she's worth it.

Decided to go for food & drink in hornsea as we were staying in a lodge nearby & due to never eating out in Hornsea before I had no idea where to go so we went to Luciens as online the food looked really good & to be honest the food was alright. Me & my partner both ordered the lucien burger however my bun was mouldy which did not impress me. The staff were very apologetic though and my partner received a free pint which was much appreciated & they made me a new fresh burger. Had a drink with the food but then left. Overall I was impressed with the staff with my complaint but I would not return again.

Fantastic service from Hannah tonight despite a very busy bar and only her on duty- unfailingly cheerful and polite despite the fact that she was run off her feet! An absolute credit to this lovely bar!

Having a walk around Hornsea and called in for a drink, decided to have something to eat. We all had a wrap which were very good. Beer was very nice.
Upon arrival, having booked a table for 10 people, we were told to seat ourselves wherever. We had to build our own table, as none were big enough.Then, now seated, we looked through the menu. There was no outright vegan options, but there was a couple of vegetarian options which could have been easily adapted e.g. no coleslaw. Other people in the group wanted to make small changes to their food too, take items out of a burger or no sauce in a wrap, and we were told that this was not possible. The menu was the menu and that was it! And if we didn't like it, we could go elsewhere. So we did.On top of all that, they were severely understaffed for the size of the place.I would advise everyone to avoid this place.

Fast becoming my favourite place in Hornsea. Always clean and the staff are excellent. You never wait long to be served. In particular have to commend Hannah and Aaron who always do that little bit extra. It would be good to see some more plant based options on the menu, mind you the falafel wrap is excellent.

When for some dinner. Was great food o had a burger with some extras. Its a proper burger not frozen pattys, chips were very good and drinks were made well (cocktails). Staff were very friendly always smiling. Figured out every Tuesday is Quiz night so we stuck around listening in to that and enjoying the night. Plenty of seating and nice chilled atmosphere ??
