Lovely friendly staff ? Decent portion sizes and tasty fish and chips especially for the price! We ordered the small fish and chips to take away and ate on the beach. Very reasonable ?? I’d recommend and be back again!(whatever you do please don’t make the mistake we did first and ordered from PJ’s Fish Bar/Sweets next door (red building) ?

Purchased 3 regular portions of fish and chips.Good portion size, really fresh fish (which is not a given considering the sad offering Whitby has to offer!)Also excellent batter and chips, top marks!!

This is a lovely chippy, right on the Seafront. Very reasonable prices and delicious food. Cooked to order, at the time, as was just closing. Staff is very friendly and polite. Was very clean and tidy, and tables wiped regularly. Fish was white and flaky, chips weren't bitty and peas and curry were best tasted in a long time. Highly recommend

Absolutely lovely fish and chips. Good sized portions, staff very friendly, clean and tidy. Did not have to wait too long, even though they were busy. A week ago we went to the award winning 'one' but were severely disappointed with dried out and overcooked fish, as were a few other people we have since met.If you are in this area, would highly recommend.

For a tiny seaside town, this little fish and chip restaurant is pretty decent, serving up an array of fried food.Alas, this is one of the only seafront restaurants, and being the larger one it tends to become swamped, especially during nicer weather, by both tourists and school groups on visits. This means that queues can become ridiculous, spilling out the door and along the promenade out front. Given that prices are fair, it is worth waiting for rather than going to the other local establishment, but some may be put off by the long wait. There are a number of tables both inside and outside the restaurant, so when not bogged down by sunny swarms, there’s plenty of room to sit and eat in comfort. One thing to be mindful of if sitting outside is the birds - ever present on our coasts, you will likely attract the attentions of both gulls and starlings, so be forewarned! Finally, a great benefit in recent years is that Port of Call have acquired a contactless card machine! This means you don’t have to ensure you’re always carrying cash, so long as your card/smartphone/smartwatch is on you.

Portion sizes a little small but tasty enough.

Went in to order with my 2 small children and my dog after a walk on the beach, member of staff brought our order outside to our table so that I wasn’t struggling. Fab prices and great food, £3.95 for kids meals that include drink, main and a Mr Whippy icecream afterwards. My fish and chips were lovely too, we’ll definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: Good kids meals
