Fish is nice, chips ok, but don't expect any service on a weekend or holiday. 40 mins to get served at the takeaway. People getting irate and walking away as the queue too long and slow.

Best fish and chips I've ever had.Great portions as well as great food.

Always use this place when working in Hornsea and rarely disappointed!I am finding in the areas fish seems to be getting smaller and my pocket emptier lol ??♂️ Cheaper than the last place I reviewed for large haddock and chips and curry sauce. This was £11 something ??♂️ Was thicker to!Chips where pale but cooked so wonder if they are parboiled before fried?Little bit greasy so wondering if lard or oil? This place won an award?2023 this year so i did expect a little bit better but has a peoples choice award i would vote it the place to go when in Hornsea for sure?Overall 8 out of 10 from me and still will use this place over others in the area ??March 2024 updateApparently all haddock is a regular portion and don’t do large?Fish looked big (wide) but thin last few times! Looked big for pictures i guess but thin and getting more greasy ??♂️ Least chips looked cooked this time not anaemic looking!

Sorry, but if you advertise yourself as an award winning chip shop, with an 8pm closing time (as it says on the door) and have nothing left at 7.15pm, then I'm afraid it isn't good enough. I appreciate the need to avoid waste, but 45 minutes before closing isn't on. There were 4 people that I'm aware of who walked away.

First visit left us very disappointedThe chips were nice, but the fish was very thin like it had been cut in half, the batter only average. I've had better in hornsea at one of the regional winners.

Expectations were high given the reviews and awards and I wasn't disappointed. One of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Great to have gluten free option as my wife has coeliac. Well worth the short walk back from the seafront if you're in

It was very tasty haddock in a thin and crispy batter but very disappointed that they didn't have most of the options on the menu. Only haddock, but not haddock fishcakes. The staff didn't seem too bothered. No cod or plaice. It had only been open an hour. Peas very average, chips fine. Nothing great. Had driven out of the way to try it, wouldn't bother again.
Definitely will go again. The food and service were excellent.Prices were good.Only drawback is parking , sadly on-street only !Parking: On-street parking only !
