Had a small private gathering in the room upstairs. Lovely pub on the heat of Hull, with great food and drinks. Pleasant staff and nicely decorated place.

Went today for a Sunday lunch and a steak. My fiancé had the Sunday lunch and he really enjoyed it other than the tasteless watery gravy. On the other hand the steak was inedible I didn’t eat any of my food and wasn’t offered a refund. The steak tasted like it has been boiled in water no flavour and like eating a boot. The chips were hard and undercooked the peas were hard. Peppercorn sauce had no flavour at all. I got scampi on the side and it was cold in the middle so I just left it completely very disappointed.

I have not tried the food, but often go in when we are out drinking around town, not a bad spot always busy, typical pub on a Friday night to be

Very disappointed. Made a special trip before attending a gig and they were closed for renovation with absolutely NO indication on their website !
