Without a doubt our favourite place to eat! This really is what every restaurant should aspire to. The service is lovely and friendly. And the food is just completely out of this world fantastic.

There is no scrimping on ingredients. You can tell that the chefs and owners care about every. single. dish that gets sent out of the kitchen and the proof is in the eating. Truly can’t describe how tasty it is.

The only downside? It’s inevitably going to get busier the more people hear about this place and it’ll mean we might have to book in advance one day. But for all the authentic tastiness? I’ll make my peace with that.

If you go on Sunday? Try the roast which might be the best one I’ve ever had and try the surf and turf which yes, i think is the most expensive item on the menu? But absolute game changer.

Can’t wait to come back in a couple of weeks!!!

Best halal Turkish food I have ever had. Jo and the other lady who took my order provided absolutely amazing customer service, they were both very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and were happy with the service. The chef here is amazing at what he does, the flavour in the food was phenomenal, not to mention they was very generous with the complementary starters which consisted of a salad, cacik, hummus, garlic sauce, chilli sauce and turkish bread which was all delicious. Will most definitely be coming back here and recommending to friends and family.

Been here twice now, and the customer service is fantastic — especially from the women who I think may be running the place. The food is lovely and definitely an experience, particularly the injera.

The only downside is that some dishes, including the injera, don’t come with a lot of meat. Also, the toilets could use more regular maintenance, and the seating area could be cleaner, as it was a little dusty and sticky. That said, these aren’t major issues because the food and service more than make up for it.

We also tried the traditional Ethiopian coffee, which was delicious, and the avocado milkshake — highly recommended!

We live in the neighbouring village and have never visited Nineteen restaurant and boy have we been missing out! - We wanted somewhere for a breakfast so popped in, from walking in until leaving nicely full it was a great experience all round! Great food, no long waiting times, nicely decorated restaurant and more importantly amazing service from Bekky, she couldn't have done more for us to feel welcome as none golfers or members and we'll be back next week! Give this place a visit if you're near Burstwick, you won't be disappointed!

Last night I ordered the Mutton Biryani from POP’DOM, and honestly, the experience was amazing from start to finish.

After placing the order, I called the restaurant and requested the biryani to be extra spicy. The way they received the call and responded was very polite and professional, and they prepared it exactly the way I asked.

Coming to the food, it was absolutely incredible ?
The taste genuinely reminded me of my mom’s cooking, and that feeling is hard to describe. From the bottom of my heart, it was next level.

Big thanks to the owner, the chef, the staff, and also the delivery driver for such a wonderful experience and hospitality.

Hats off to the entire POP’DOM team ??‍♂️

From the roadside the restaurant does not look appealing at all but once you enter then it is completely different and lovely. A great selection of curries and accompaniments on offer and the staff were excellent and attentive from the moment we walked in. We went for poppadoms and pickles to start and then a chicken tikka dopiaza and a lamb achari curry with a pilau rice and garlic naan bread each. The achari was the best curry but all the food was tasty and hot and very delicious! Kingfisher on tap was cold and refreshing and a great accompaniment as always with a great curry! The bill was £50’for two of us and we enjoyed eating here.

3 different beers on my visit, all in excellent condition. Loved the Thunderbridge Stout at very reasonable £4.20, circa 180 THB for a 5.2% beer.

Absolutely loved Roots! This place was great and a true Hull gem.

I went on lunchtime and got the lunch deal which included the Santiago chicken and a soft drink for £10.

The two for one cocktails were great. The best cocktail was the zombie (strong and tasty) although this wasn't on the two for one menu.

Staff were great and attentive with service (Shout-out to Yousuf).

The food tasted absolutely delicious! It was hot and fresh. Each dish was very flavoursome and came in great portion sizes. We didn't need to wait long at all for our food to come. The staff were very friendly and attentive to needs throughout the night. Wonderful customer service. The atmosphere was also lovely and quiet.

The New Royal Mail is not easy to find, Although it's on the main street, it's tucked away behind a cafe. It's definitely worth the effort to seek out. It is a nice, friendly community pub. There is a wide range of beers, lagers, and ciders, and there were three cask conditioned real ales on, in excellent conditioned when we called. A really neat little location thats slightly off the beaten path in Hull with some very nice dishes, a small but well made dim-sum menu and food thats both served quite quickly but with generous portion sizes.

If I have any downsides, the menu itself, while expansive, is a bit on the messy and confusing side. Theres also one or two items that dont eat quite as well as the others (such as the bamboo wraps having a very gelatinous sauce). The rest ordered though such as the Char Sui pork buns, the Honey lemon chicken and the Udon noodle soup bowls are very much worth the money spent on them.

Fantastic little place hidden away. I was visiting Hull with family and searched for a gluten free cafe. This place was perfect. A great vibe, really great menu and anything from the menu could be made gluten free. The server was super knowledgeable and gave all the info and reassurance needed without any prompting. They were also really family friendly and had options for little ones too. We all left with very full, happy bellies!

The beef was an £8 supplement which didn't make sense as the vegetables and other items on the plate came to £30. A strange one to review as nothing was bad it just wasn't outstanding. what was nice is that they didn't put a discretionary tip on the bill which a lot of places are now doing

I have had CSF on my radar for a while now after reading other group reviews. And I am so glad I called.
Ordered them closed to take and eat in the local park. By the time I got there the batter had lost a little of its crunch ( my fault for ordering closed) but OMG the taste took me back years to when the taste of batter was as good as the fish...it was absolutely superb.
The fish itself was a very large piece for the price paid, was pure white and cooked to perfection, delicious.
The chips are from a variety of Potato I have not heard of before ( Picasso ), the owner tells me he dare not swap them as his locals would be up in arms, and I can see why. They produce a much darker chip than Sagitta with a far superior taste imho. As with the batter ...they took me back forty/fifty years to sitting on a wall outside the local chippy sharing chips with my mates. Divine.
Although they were not as crispy as I'd expect and in fact a little clumped together. But again that probably wasnt helped by the drive to the park.

Im not going comment on curry, as tbh its irrelevant to the taste and quality of the F&C.

An absolutely stand out meal at a very reasonable price, lovely staff and a nice clean shop.

A well deserved 10 from me. And Number 1 in Hull.

And I will certainly be back.

Popped in on passing when visiting Beverley for the first time. It looked a very pleasant pls e for an early evening drink. And indeed it was.
