The funky fryer is a good traditional fish and chip shop. The fish and chips are always very good. The patties ( a hull speciality) have a nice flavour and texture. The staff are very friendly and the service has always been good. It is a convenient fish shop for me as there is so much free parking.Parking: Large free car park serving all the shopsWheelchair accessibility: The entrance is flat, and wheelchair access is easy.

Usualy love this please the food fine but after going in this weekend and seeing a poor young girl having to cook serve dish up all on her own cause another woman didn’t look like she was with it at all has put me off this place it was packed and they was arguing clearly stressed out this young girl shouldn’t be doing all this practically on her own is it even legal needs more staff won’t be returning ??

This is the best chippy I've been to in hull however sometimes fob you off with portion sizes such as large chips sometimes come small. But chips are lovely and soft so I always go back for more as I'm a grafter.

Got the £8 special large fish and chips with curry sauce.was nice enough but need more chips in my opinion.for 50p more i could of got a pizza that would fill me(im still hungry).Tasted good tho
