I thought it was good, for the price you get what you expect. the salmon nigiri tasted alright but very fishy so i’m thinking it was not as fresh. prawn tempura maki and seaweed salad were fantastic, tamago nigiri was okay a little thin and over cooked but again for the inexpensive price i wasn’t upset with my order. and happy to support a small business.

Would really suggest trying the Prawn tempura nigiri.

Really delicious food. As I’m vegan I got the tofu katsu curry and also tofu teriyaki, would recommend. Friendly service!

Not the bed I ordered miso soup was bland had one taste and threw it in the bin.. also only had a tiny piece of tofu in which was way over done.Ordered chicken yakisoba not the best either.Bland in taste and not the best meal I’ve had

I spent an hour on my way to this "restaurant" only to hear that the Woman would not make sushi because she has a lot of orders.

Ate from here a while ago and was really excited before hand as we love Japanese food and culture in our household. Paid quite a lot for what we got which at first we didn’t mind as we considered it quite specialist compared to what else is available in the area. Then we looked at the food and it was an absolute mess. So we chalked that up to the fact that it’s takeaway in takeaway tubs. Then we tasted it… it was the most disgusting, overly salted, overly fatty, greasy, rank slop we have ever tasted! An absolute insult to not only Japanese food but food in general. THIS was not Japanese food. It was the idea of Japanese food made from the cheapest, most substandard (probably out of date) ingredients possible made fatty and salty for “the typical English pallet” like so many Chinese take aways do. It was crap. Money wasted never to return. From now on I’ll stick to cooking my own AUTHENTIC Japanese dishes at home.

Never fails to be excellent. Great sushi, expanding menu, inexpensive and simply yum (her favourite sushi place, 'nuff said)

Warm sushi,I'm not an expert on sushi though I do really enjoy it.The selection of dishes seem well thought out with seemingly quality ingredients such as fish eggs, and I will give credit for the use of what appears to be real wasabi and generous sauce portions. So... I'm not quite sure what went wrong with our sushi order, but I have some ideas. To start, as much as this could be down to the Uber eats driver, the sushi arrived room temperature, or some parts warm. This made eating it so much more difficult, it's just hard to convince yourself to swallow raw seafood that is room temperature, and it doesn't help the taste. I'll report back if we start feeling unwell. Then, there's was the Nori, which was so chewy and tough - like leather - that the tamaki was barely edible. The texture of the fish and rice was lost to the green wrapping.I would also say all of the dishes we ordered suffered from dryness, the fish felt rubbery and dry along with the rest of the food. If this is purely because of the Ingredients, perhaps more needs to be done with sauces to make the menu work (dragon roll, and other sauce topped sushi comes to mind). In general the food just didn't seem right, I'm not sure if they used enough vinegar on the rice, perhaps we had a bad rice batch or some emergency non sashimi fish. Or maybe the sheer fact the food was warm is what killed it. As I write this, I'm also not so sure the fish eggs should be so common on the menu, as they could easily overpower the nuanced flavours in sushi.I'd be happy to try this place again, but would like some kind of explanation from the kitchen as to why this arrived so far below our expectations. Clearly a lot of people in Hull like this place.
