First time of having Sunday lunch and it definitely won't be the last! We had 2 smaller plates (for my In Laws) and 2 regular plates. All plates had a great assortment of vegetables and potatoes and enough meat to satisfy us all. Great value!

1st time back in this pub in over 40 years. Some internal changes, 3 bars made into two. Took my wife and folks for something to eat. All enjoyed the food. Will be back soon ?

Just had an an amazing Sunday roast here, couldn't ask for better, so tasty and plenty of it. and to top it all ,staff were friendly, polite, and efficient. We shall definitely return.

Unfortunately we did not do any meals we stayed for a few beers the staff were perfect the service was perfect the atmosphere was also perfect we did leave my wife’s mobile phone there and when I rung up they had found it and put it behind the bar,we collected it the next day thanks to all at this homely pub it was a fantastic experience and will be back in soon for a Sunday lunch once again thank you all.
Food was amazing, great quality, hot and fresh, friendly staff, good priced. Would highly recommend. This will now be our regular place to eat

Lovely home-cooked Sunday lunch. The meat was tender and juicy, you could tell everything was freshly made and not from a packet. Best yorkshire puds that beat any other carvery we've been to. Owners both welcoming and made sure everyone was happy with the food. Highly recommend!

Me and my wife went today for Sunday lunch . We was greeted with a warm welcome and staff was at our service straight away . The dinner came out in a short time with all meats that was the most tender meat Iv ever had and the portion size was huge . Iv had carvery’s at other pubs in the past and you can tell straight away the difference between home cooked and not . This was by far the best Sunday dinner Iv ever had !! If they was an option for 10 stars this would be given and great to support the local pubs . Definitely be going back soon . Thank you Rising sun for your great service and food ???(Dave and jenny )

Our ladies group met at the Rising Sun last night for one of our regular meals out. I think we all enjoyed what we had. We will definitely go again for a meal
