Beautiful food and really reasonable prices too. Has a lovely little cafe so you can either sit in or takeaway. Been here a few times whilst staying locally and it’s been great every time.Parking: On street parking but narrow roads so might need to park a little further away

Had takeaway. Ordered by phone but still had to wait for 15mins. Fantastic fish, not many chips, and they were cold. Shame, I've had some great grub from here before.

Oh my days! Passing through this village midweek (I’m 130 miles from this place) I felt a bit peckish and didn’t want to end up going to the services on the way back. Chips to die for! Surprising how many chip shops don’t cook their chips properly. These were spot on. Staff were really friendly too. An absolute gem!

Best fish and chips we have had! We visited Aldbrough for 3 nights and just couldn't get enough of the food from here. Had the sharing platter too and it was amazing. Best reason to visit again soon.

We've been at least 10 times now, and it's the same everytime. Gorgeous fish and chips straight out of the fryer, golden on the outside, fresh and delicious on the inside, big portions with white, chunky fish that tastes like it came straight out of the sea this morning. I recommend breaking it up and letting it cool for a minute before eating though!Pointless going anywhere else.

I phoned first as we were travelling to this venue for the first time. Huge portion of freshly cooked fish and chips, served with tea. The batter was crispy and crunchy, and the fish was soft, firm, very fresh, and flaky. The staff were polite, friendly, and courteous. The best fish and chips I've had in years...!!

Recommended by the family that runs Green meadow park up the road, this fish and chip shop will not disappoint. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was second to none and the price, well I felt like I was robbing them. I would have paid double and still thought I was getting a good deal. When I come back up north, I'm definitely coming back here for my dinners.Parking: Parking is a little difficult, but just drive down a side road and walk, definitely worth it

We listened to folk recommending the frying farmer so decided to pay a visit, firstly the parking is terrible but we found a spot under a chestnut tree at the side of a “ green”. Down the road a bit…anyway on entering we had to wait for the workmens orders to be despatched…the staff seemed stressed and nobody acknowledged us or smiled or anything…the warning bells should rung when i saw the menu, no mention of cod or haddock…when we eventually got our food the girl puts on the salt n vinegar something that we like to do ourselves…my fish was rather brown and looked overcooked, this was confirmed when i took a forkful..it was hard not nice and flaky, the batter not burned but very well done…chips were ok nothing to write home about…my wifes fish too was overcooked and hard….this is another chippy on the east coast to avoid…..

Quite a few fish and chip shops nearby but this is worth the extra drive. Delicious fish and chips and next time we fancy a pizza, we'll be going here!
