Was on a bit of a walking tour of Hull. Visited many bars, afraid don't really remember this bar particularly, but it must have been

Proper pub. Cool spiral staircase. Not a posh bar so I wouldn't go here for a cocktail and nibbles but I would for a couple of beers and a chat with my mates.

The masters Bar is a nice attractive traditional pub. There is a wide selection of beers and lagers, but sadly no cask conditioned real ale. The beer is probably the cheapest in the town John Smith's £2.50 a pint and Incredibly only £2.30 Monday to Friday. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, it's only a small pub so there is no room for a dart board or a pool table. Up the spiral staircase there is another nice seating area and another flight of stairs leads to the toilets. If you're not bothered about cask conditioned ale, then definitely give this pub a try. I really enjoyed my visit.Parking: There is some paid street parking but difficult to find a vacant space.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step up to get into the pub and the toilets are up a spiral staircase then another flight of stairs, definitely not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Always a good night in Masters. Especially if you don't take yourself too seriously, like a laugh and down to earth people, and enjoy a good shot on the karaoke. Everyone in there is friendly and your every day Hullian in a sense!Good offers on drinks, they do check ID's as well just as a heads up.

Terrible place, zero consideration towards people living around the area. Used to be okay but recently every single day they seems to do a karaoke (if it can be even called liked that with all the howling and not signing) and the music is waaay too loud. Even with windows closed I can’t hear my own TV. It wouldn’t kill you to put the volume of the music down. It is really unnecessary for it to be that loud, the whole street really doesn’t need to hear it.

Great place for music and drinks. Fantastic atmosphere and reasonable priced drinks. Great night out

We'll only had the one drink and would have had a few more, but being in a wheelchair can't get into the pub or use the toilet shame really but often stop for drink. In this day and age you'd think should be able to get in.

A Father's Day visit to watch the Ashes was almost perfect for our first drink with our newly legal daughter. The only drawback is the toilets being up a spiral staircase and gave me vertigo (not alcohol related, honest ?)

Just dropped by for a pint while we waited for a train. A very basic pub, no obvious signs of food being available, but the John Smith's was good, and very reasonably priced.
