Booked a table for my birthday. Service and meal were excellent. Great atmosphere and lovely cocktails. Would highly recommend any day of the week.

Friendly staff but rushed off there feet due to shortage of staff , food was just ok typical pub grub very mediocre, overall the place is ok but could be so much better with more staff and more attention to detail on the food as most of it looked bought in and maybe not all cooked from scratch on the premises.

Just had a seriously lovely meal in a genuinely dog friendly pub. They have a section for people with dogs inside nearest to the road. I must say Cherry was not all that well behaved and they handled it gracefully. They even supplied a bowl for our canine companion. Myself and my friend had a delicious meal. Sticky barbecue chicken and for myself Calamari and fries, what's not to like. The puddings were lovely I had a cheesecake with cherry sauce, wicked. Great atmosphere and tolerance I would happily recommend this place.

I booked a table for my mum's 80th birthday following a recommendation and we wasn't disappointed. Our waitress wished my mum a happy birthday as we sat down which was a lovely surprise. The food was excellent and the atmosphere relaxed, even though it was probably the busiest time of the week! We couldn't fault our visit and will definitely return.

I was recommended The Wgeatsheaf by a client of mine so thought I'd try it out with my mum on our monthly day out after having our nails done in nearby Ferriby. The pub was quite busy which is always a good sign,we were greeted relatively quickly and handed over to a very pleasant waiter who escorted us to our table with menus. There was a good choice including a 2 or 3 course lunch menu but we went for a main meal off ghe regular menu, both choosing the Steak and Ale Pie with veg. It came very hot and feeling freshly cooked. A nice selection of veg and individual gravy jugs, very tasty it was too! I had downloaded a voucher fur 30% off mains meals which was a nice bonus! We will definitely return and recommend to others. We liked the outside space too,so will be a nice summer venue.Parking: No problem parking t all

A warm welcome as always from Andy and the team.

I think it would help if a sign was put up and ask you to wait to be seated or put reserved on yhe table. I found the food to be overcooked and unable to eatParking: Didn't count the parking but seemed enough
