Absolutely appalling - we went at 1pm so peak lunch time, just as the senior member of staff waltzed out of the building for their break leaving a TRAINEE barista completely on their own with a queue out of the door! Even at a quiet time this would be unacceptable. What would have happened if there had been a fire, a medical emergency, any other incident with no one around to help? I felt so sorry for the poor girl left to fend for herself - she had to ask me how to make my drink (just a herbal tea!) as she didn’t know what it was. Turns out they were out of stock but didnt want to burden her with the faff of issuing a refund so just went without. The fridges and snacks were empty, pastry case was a mess. Dirty toilets with no toilet roll or soap.

I had a drinks and some shortbread which were very good and it wasn’t very expensive it is quite but still has people and is always a good

Nobody in as the fridge was broken, no sandwich or toastie, just a muffin and drink.

When you walk in your greeted by the staff. The food is good the best part is the drinks.Vegetarian options: They have a fewVegan and vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: They have a kid friendly environment but for more older kids 11+

Lives up to the reputation of worst costa in the UK. Long waits, no change, cold coffee, dirty premise. There are some lovely coffee shops in Pocklington go to any of those instead! Avoid this one! deserved its one star food hygiene rating. Complained online and got one of my drinks refunded.

Coffee was only luke warm, complained and it was replaced but was told that was how they serve it and i should have asked for hot coffee. Toilets were filthy and door to upstairs kitchen/staffroom was open and that was really untidy and did not give a good impression.

Disgusting! The trays are gross, rubbish on the floor. When the staff were talking about cleaning up one said does it even look dirty as though to get out of cleaning. Coffee machine needs properly cleaning the coffee tastes burnt. One positive the air con works

Had coffee there yesterday afternoon, served in takeaway cups despite the fact we were sitting in. We were the only 2 in the place so not rushed off their feet. Both toilets out of order. Looking at previous reviews these have been out of order for at least a fortnight. Staff suggested going across to the pub to use their facilities! Music so loud we could barely hold a conversation. Worst Costa ever. Only positive is the air con was working.

let me say firstly, i love costa. but not this one , horrid music, wet tables, egg mayo sarnie with no mayo, dry and unpalatable, and last , but no means least toilet out of order. worst costa ever.

The overall impression is good. But one thing is just disgusting. The tall admin girl with blonde hair (sorry, I don’t know the name) is very-very-very abusive towards ALL her coworkers. She is definitely a hard-worker. But her all-the-time-rolling eyes and pressure she puts toward her colleagues is just disgusting and very disappointing. They would 100% cope without her, but her presence makes their hands trembling. I visit Costa every day, and I am always very happy when she’s not at the till.This abusive and selfish behaviour is just awful :(
I have visited this costa a few times recently and have noticed that the tall blonde lady, possibly the manager or leader, is quite aggressive and abusive towards her staff. Many of which seem to be younger individuals. On one occasion I was ordering a coffee and this lady put an alternative milk in and blamed it on her co-worker. She then continued to kick things behind the counter and huff and puff about it. She doesn't seem like the most approachable person and even though I understand she is probably trying to run a tight ship, being abusive to her younger co-workers doesn't solve any issues.

Very scruffy, the staff where quite rude to a disabled gentleman struggling with his payment.The toilet was disgusting it needs replacing it looks like a toilet in a truck stop.We sat in but got given takeaway cups because the staff member said she was on her own yet there was another girl there.
