The old lady who works there should wait to the customers have actually left the shop before talking about them very uncomfortable and very rude

I have visited this shop on many occasions specifically for the onion sausage rolls which are delicious. Sadly every single visit proved unsuccessful. I even try going before lunch, at lunchtime, first time in morning but to no avail. Even if you ask when they will be made you get no clear answer. Ridiculous. Clearly no idea on supply and demand. Plenty of other outlets and if your driving through stop at Langlands as thus place runs out of plain sausage rolls daily and doesn’t step up their service. Don’t bother stopping you will be disappointed

whoever runs and works in this cafe should be ashamed. upstairs is dingy the toilets are gross the glasses where stained the food prep standards involved leaving things open to the loitering flies handled with the same bare hands that handled cash. The choice of bread for sandwiches was poor and I wish I hadnt been fooled by the immaculate frontage and expensive items for sale in the deli. do not recommend unless you want to feel incredibly depressed today.

Our filled chiabattas for lunch on Monday were much drier than usual and we're were assured they were fresh that day. The lattes were however up to their usual high standard.

My colleagues and I work in Pocklington. We’ve been to this place a few times to get lunch salads or sandwiches, coffee etc. Recently the staff have been ignorant and almost hostile, not helping and not a smile in sight. The salads are average, too much lettuce and skimpy fillings in sandwiches. The coffee is nice and the bacon and avocado on toast is nice but the service really lets this place down. We’ve walked out a few times. We won’t be going back now. Pocklington is very competitive now for lunch choices, so this cafe needs to change its approach to customers and not treat people with hostility.

We visited this cafe as our usual was closed with it being Sunday. It strikes me as a nice deli with a bit of a cafe attached. As you can see in the pictures it is more of a “homely” type cafe. Lots of steps if you need the toilet or want to sit upstairs. Decor upstairs is dated but nice sitting outside in the sun. Scone was dry, coffee was ok. It wasn’t a bad experience but also we won’t be returning.

Maybe claiming the sun always shines is a bit of an overstatement but whenever we are in Pocklington (about once a year) it always comes out to join us - and to celebrate we always re-visit this busy venue which was the first one we ever sampled in the market town. As long as you avoid the one very wobbly outside table (which I'm sure is there to catch out newcomers) it's a joy to sit and watch the world go by (and sometimes join you if seating is at a premium!). There's more seating inside obviously but we'll save that for a rainy day. The coffee is excellent, the bacon sandwiches are great and the service is always friendly. There's plenty of choice on the menu if bacon's not your daily fix -and it's all good value for money.

Haven’t been to the deli in years because we started going to The Coffee Bean / Union Street Kitchen when it opened but it was closed today so we went down to the Deli... so glad we did! The food was lovely, such nice sandwiches and salads and everything so generously portioned!! The ladies who worked there were so nice and friendly too. Will be back for sure.
