Stopped by a few times on bike rides - very friendly place with pavement tables, great coffee and very good cakes and scones (especially). Not tried the savoury food yet, planning to soon!

Called in for a hot chocolate and some cheesecake. Top quality food and the service was even better as I think they have the best waiter not only in Pocklington but the whole of Yorkshire. Hoots and giggles all round.

I asked for a coffee with 1-shot and the barista rudely told me to slow down a little when ordering because he said it was 'more than a coffee now.' I was only asking for a cappuccino with 1 shot and vanilla syrup. I understand that he probably didn't mean to come across that way but I think he should be a bit more polite with his wording. Last time I came the blonde barista was so polite and welcoming to me and didn't make me feel burdened, but this man made me feel like I was asking him to serve me horse meat. He also covered my cappuccino with chocolate which I didn't ask for, I'm not fond of chocolate so while trying to drink the cappuccino I was gagging from the scent of chocolate on Top. I don't want to take a coffee back and make a fuss, especially not with him serving, but I will just ask for no chocolate next time. Even taking these things into account, I still think the deli shop is lovely and the coffee was still decent. I don't mean any ill intention but I just felt a little embarrassed just trying to order a coffee.

100% would recommend this place. We walked in and somebody hadn't turned up for their table reservation so luckily we managed to get a table straight away. The coffee was delicious and they had oat milk too. It was even served with a glass of water. Then the food came and that was just beautiful. My partner had the salmon and said it was a really generous portion of it and it was absolutely delicious and I had the mushroom dish which was absolutely divine. 100% recommend. Probably the nicest brunch place I've eaten at recently. A bit more upper class and rich flavouring then your normal brunch menu. My experience was wonderful here and I will definitely return and recommend. Thank you ?
