It is with deep regret that I have had to permanently close Sunshine Caf. This being due to the lack of staff and the increase in gas, electricity, food prices which in some cases have trebled in price. I would like to thank all my customers and children for supporting me. I will miss you all. Love Ali and Kev.

I usually come here for a breakfast, as I love the breakfasts here, but my latest trip wasn't so good. When I first walked in the waitresses took some time to come to my table even though there was only a handful of people in the cafe. I was told that they were short staffed. I ordered a small breakfast without mushrooms, my usual. I also ordered a soft drink. The waitress asked me to repeat a few times. When my food arrived I noticed a big difference, there was no black pudding. On my plate there was the usual egg, sausage, a hashbrown, and a slice of toast but a massive plate of beans. The food was as nice as it always is. When I approached the counter for the bill, the same waitress served me. £8.15, surely this cant be right? I understand there may have been some slight increases in costs, but this didn't seem right. I usually pay around £7 and that is with the black pudding included.

We spotted the good reviews for this one on trip advisor and decided to stop off for breakfast here to break up our journey. Really welcoming staff. We ordered the big breakfast. Being fussy I asked for no beans or tomatoes. When the enormous plates came out, the chef had very kindly put an extra hash brown and a sausage on mine to replace the items I did not want. Food was delicious and good quality and well presented. If we lived in the area we would definitely be regulars!

Good honest home cooking, generous portions, friendly staff and great prices. A little gem in Withernsea. Dog friendly and if allowed are given complimentary sausages.

We found this little gem while we were on holiday! Actually ended up eating there nearly every day due to the friendly atmosphere of all the staff and locals. My son has food allergies and we had been turned away from a few other locations but Ali went above and beyond! Checked what he could eat and even offered to cook something we brought if there wasn’t anything! He had chicken nuggets chips and beans and the portions were a decent size for the price! Really amazing food! More then fair price for the portion sizes you get! When we come back again we will defiantly be returning to see Ali and the girls! Thanks again for been so accommodating and helpful! X

This place just delivers the epitome of perfection and customer service. No frills, no gimmicks, just great experiences every time!! Nothing is too difficult and the food is awesome also. However, it is the staff and there attention to detail and ensuring the clientele are happy with everything they serve that just sets them apart from other cafes at this location. If you want a great meal with your family then this is definitely the place to go.

Me and partner had chicken curry and rice, it was from a tin shared between 2 of us ,should of complained but didn't. Other meals looked OK but wouldn't recommend getting curry you can go lidl and buy tin yourself

No wounder they call it the sunshine cafe because from the momment you step into this beauitful welcoming cafe you are greeted with the most pleasent and beauitful host's Alison ( Ali ) and her busy bee's of staff who do it all with a smile. To be honest even if you didnt want sumat to eat and you were feeling a bit down and you have done all your pennies in on the slotters ,just pop in there and you will think youve dropped the jackpot ,you will feel 100 times better and thats without the wholesome food , i had shepards pie and veg. The kids had a full english and the dog got a little sausage. And to follow a nice piece of chocalate / Orange sponge. A right good belly full. Ohh the grandaughters got the hot chocalate drink speacil... Beauitful.. and thats not just the food. The deco of all cartoon Legends . New and all will keep the kids quessing who's who' on the wall of cartoon fame. This place is a happy welcomming pleace and without a doubt the best vaule for money cafe ive ever been in. And ive been in a few. Oh and the sweet treats the kids got. They loved it. Well done to Ali and all her staff. We will be back. Thank you very much Ali you and your staff are a cridit to Withersea. Mally Welburn and his 2 grand daughters Lati'a and Lamara xxx

We saw that the Sun Cafe was rated as the best breakfast in Withernsea so we popped by for a full English. It was busy but we didn't mind sharing a table with a lovely older couple who arrived after us. The staff were down to earth and very welcoming. The food was fab and we will be going back!

What a cracking little place. The lady who served us was lovely. Large fish and chips, bread and butter, tea, a coffee and two slices of cheese on toast £15! However, be warned! The large portions are not large…they’re massive!!!!!
