Beautiful hotel set within the lovely village of Battle. Comfortable rooms and decorated to a high standard. Also the hotel has an excellent restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a well stocked bar. The hotel is opposite the Battle abbey which within itself is worth a visit. If you are planning a visit to Battle then I can highly recommend this hotel.

An unexpected treat. We stayed one night while touring through East Sussex. The Abbey was a delight. Our room had an amazing view of the historic site and had the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced. We actually took a picture of the mattress topper label to purchase one for home. The hotel was well kept and staff were attentive. They offer a generous & tasty breakfast and our dog was welcome throughout the inn. Overall we loved our experience and will return.

Really great gluten free options here. I’m a coeliac and they have a separate fryer for anything fried and the chips were amazing! We came for a fry up and a Sunday Roast and both could be made gluten free and both were delicious!

We visited for the first time today to have a roast dinner before we went home after a weekend staying in battle. I can honestly say it was the best roast we have ever had and will 100% be visiting again. Such lovely, friendly staff, couldn’t of felt more welcomed…. Very relaxed environment! 10/10 ?

Excellent range of wines, beers and spirits. A little over priced but you get what you pay forFriendly efficient staff and very good food. Highly recommend the Sunday roasts which are reasonably priced. Nice garden. too.

Enjoyed a lovely late afternoon, into dinner at Abbey Hotel. First thing we saw when we came in was "we ❤ dogs" so def a winner for our dog Laddie (who enjoyed the biccies). Warm and friendly welcome. Menu had good variety for a meat eater/veggie combo. Little pricey but food and service def worth it. Would recommend. X

It's a good bar and generally friendly. The staff are very accommodating to our group. The prices are a bit of a concern and have been noted by some of our members. At a time when people have much less money in their pockets it is likely to have an impact.

We had a one night stay and dinner before a wedding, the hotel is very central, across form the Abbey, on the high street, the room was nice and dinner and breakfast were good. The staff were friendly, would recommend if in the area. Parking is slightly difficult, we parked in car park a fair walk away as the abbey car park said no overnight parking but when we move the car the next morning it was clear that many cars had been parked there overnight.

Stayed here for a wedding in Warbleton after a long drive from up north. Kindly on request our room was ready for our arrival to allow for us to get ready for the wedding later in the day. The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant in particular the young man. Lovely room and excellent service at the breakfast the next day (which was delicious). Don’t have a bad word to say, Thank you.

Food was okay, no complaints that end, was quick and tasty.. service with a smile would have scored a higher rating. Most the girls taking your orders look miserable and barely spoke a word to us when we popped in for lunch. Kinda felt antisocial.. if your going to be front of house the manager needs to get the order takers to work on their people skills. One blond waitress (sorry, didnt catch her name) did check in to say hi to our dog and she seemed more bubbly. Maybe have her at the front of house to greet, would make a better impression on your customers, rather than the cold, awkward reception we got.
