We were visiting Battle on my wife's birthday and i thought a surprise afternoon tea would be a nice treat to end her day. After a quick search of the local ones and reading reviews I settled on Bluebells, I spoke to Debbie who could not have been more helpful and soon realised I had made the right choice. We were seated in the window with table dressed for the occasion and when the tea arrived It did not disappoint!! the sandwiches were excellent with a nice selection of fillings and well filled, the Raspberry scones and meringues were out of this world as were the miniature sponge cakes. The service by her team was great and very friendly. This is a tearoom I would happily visit again if in the area, there are a lot of tearooms etc in the town but this one would be my first choice if in Battle again.

we had two choices to have our lunch in Battle, there are plenty more however we made THE best choice. Bluebell Tearooms are everything you'd expect from a tearoom like China cups & saucers, lovely food choices and cake! we were delighted to see our favourite bear in the window that being Paddington which definitely sold it to us after him having tea with the Queen recently.

Bluebells is not only so very cosy and welcoming. Everything is home made and so so delicious! I have had afternoon tea a few times now and also brought in my dog Lenny, everyone is welcome! I cannot recommend Debs, her team and her amazing raspberry scones highly enough. If you are ever in the area, a visit is an absolute must.

My wife and one-year-old boy visited your restaurant today and we are very happy with food and service. We both felt it was a little pricey but will no doubt return.

I visited Bluebells yesterday for lunch. Everything about our visit was just perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was lovely too. The victoria sponge was especially good. I will definitely be back soon to try the scones which looked amazing. .

On May 15th i was privileged to have my Hen Tea Party at Bluebells in Battle High Street. Courtesy of Debbie the owner. It was an absolutely amazing day with cream teas and Prosecco for all. Everything was home made sandwiches, cakes to die for. Even had a guest visit from Peter Rabbit, my childhood favourite character. Party games, fun and laughter were enjoyed by all. What a wonderful little gem of a shop. I recommend a visit if you’re in Battle, it’s just opposite the Abbey, you can’t miss it and I wouldn’t miss it if i were you. Kind Regards Tina Larby Hastings

I originally contacted Bluebell Tea rooms to see if they would prepare an afternoon tea to take away. We live in Cambridgeshire so was doing this remotely after my initial contact by email the lovely Debra telephoned me to discuss my requirements. Nothing was too much trouble. We arranged to collect the tea on Saturday and whilst we were in the tearooms had a cup of tea and a sandwich which was freshly made and delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic although busy the staff had time to smile and chat and made you feel welcome. We took the tea which was packaged in a box tied with a blue bow to my Aunt on Sunday and everything was still so very fresh. My Aunt was thrilled as she thought we would be arriving with some scones and a do it yourself tea. Thank you so much Debra and your team you have a fantastic tearooms and We will be recommending it to people we know in the area and hope to visit again when we are down your way.

Amazing little cafe. Clean, welcoming and very dog friendly. I'm vegan and when I asked what vegan cake options they had , the lady very kindly put together a gorgeous and yummy Victoria sponge cake for me. My dog was welcomed and enjoyed his time here too. Will definitely be returning soon! 5*
