Pub has an amazing friendly atmosphere. Staff ate great and couldn't do anymore to make sure your visit is special.

We was down from York as viking re enactors and this pub was where we drank after a hard days battle. It was so homely and welcoming that we didnt even bother with the other pubs around. One particular lady behind the bar showed us amazing hospitality and does this pub very proud and know that because of her the vikings will be back, but with more vikings.

We visited Battle for three days and had a drink in most of the pubs. This was by far the worst for customer service. Nice pub but two female staff behind the bar were not eve welcoming. Got a much more lovelier welcome in the other pubs

Lovely selection of prepared meals and even had a choice for gluten-free. Tried the beef bourgonion which was lovely and also bought the lamb tagine

Came to Battle for a much needed week of R&R and Cook was a massive joy to discover. At home, we are huge home cooked fans but on holiday we like convenience so to find we can have both was great! Such choice, such quality and the staff in the shop were so helpful. Also read about and loved the RAW talent initiative. Definitely recommend and would love to see Cook expanding!

This was an outstanding experience for me. I had invited 11 women to lunch some time ago. I was feeling fatigued post Covid. I decided to buy my puddings from Cookshop and have them delivered. At my request, they were kind enough to defrost them for me as it was a lunch and I arranged for delivery on the day. The puddings were a real hit. One of my guests pointed out that the French always buy in their pudding for a special meal. That made me feel better for not making my own. The top puddings were Eton mess pavlova and french apple tart. The Delivery service is excellent. Thank you to the Battle cookshop team.
