We had our annual dinner/presentation here. The food was excellent, staff helpful but a bit miserable.Drink price eye watering....They had a hosepipe running across the top of the door frame along the floor and in the disabled toilet then out the window, clearing water from the flooded cellar. With the price's they charge, a professional pumping company would be a better option ?

I stayed at this hotel for one night and was perfectly content. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean, and the shower was powerful (Very important). The car park was more than big enough for all of the guests and grounds were well kept. Best of all, there was plenty to pick from at breakfast and the hot food that we ordered arrived promptly and was delicious. I will stay here again without hesitation.

Absolutely perfect setting for celebrating my mums 80th today, food was delicious and great service throughout. Thank you so much. Beautiful setting in a lovely little village. The garden room is a great place for a celebration, would highly recommend.

Just got home from a 2 night stay at this hotel. Very expensive for what it is Very outdated could do with a face-lift and decorating. We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was very expensive and there are plenty of places nearby reasonably priced. Its advertised as dog friendly but I didn't find any signs of friendliness toward my dog or any water bowls for her to drink out of.And one of the waitresses even seemed frightened of my dog and would not come near the table at breakfast I have a small cavalier spaniel hardly the most frightening of dogs .Overall a bit disappointed in this hotel and won't be going back.

What a little GEM. Without exception, all staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Our twin room was well equipped, spotless with well stocked tea and coffee making.Breakfast was just right, whatever you chose was cooked to order, there was a continental alternative. We ate dinner there on our last night, excellent food and service.

Lovely setting with the large bedroom full or character. Don’t go if you expect a room like a purpose built hotel chain - it “ain’t”. Large portion dinner , with sorbets in between, along with more than ample breakfasts. Owner present (or son) on most shifts, all smart and very polite - thank you for making our stay excellent!

Very clean hotel, lovely staff and spacious rooms. Great value for money and they were extremely accommodating letting us check in extra early as we had an early wedding to get to. Would definitely stay here again! Good choice of breakfast selection too!

My husband and I travelled with my 91 year old mother to England for a week. We saw the highlights of SE England - Kent, Dover, Hastings, Brighton etc. This hotel is centrally located for these attractions - less than 40 miles from most sights. Service was fantastic. Better than any fancy “high end” hotel. We had the charm of an older, gorgeous Inn with updated bathrooms - big deep full sized tubs, plenty hot water and plenty of water pressure! Better shower fixture than we have at home. We had king sized bed and plenty of space. We were pleased to find a hotel that had a larger parking area (hard to find in that part of the country) easily accessible from the A21. Follow the instruction on their website to avoid the tricky backroads. Our hosts helped us find our way around to groceries and sights with friendly advice . Every Single Day they took personal interest in us. The continental breakfast was plentiful, and they added in eggs, bacon, sausage etc. If you visit eat the mussels for a starter - fresh and well prepared. Best we’ve ever had. All meals were great. The hotel is within walking distance of the Queens Head pub and a small PostOffice/ grocery store. There is a Sainsburys just a few miles away. I can’t say enough about how kindly we were treated.
