“This central Brighton pub is the place to head for. It stands out amongst all of the many central Brighton options. It’s buzzing, clean, well kept, cozy with a widely stocked bar and a perfect food menu. The decor is tasteful and fresh and there are wood burning stoves which were perfect on this cold winters day. We were there from 2pm and it was busy! What we were impressed by was the friendly and more than efficient chap whom was running the whole place. He was like a machine making sure no-one waited at the bar, the tables were cleared and the fires were kept alive. Nothing was too much trouble and done with a smile and chatter considering his many demands. Hat off to him… a true asset to the place.”

“Very useful area in town to find a meal and drink that is not too far away from the local buses and other things. A good collection of main meals and drinks and helpful waitresses there for stuff to order, not been before however would try again in another season”

“We ended up here on a weekend away in Brighton as we were looking for somewhere to have dinner before an event we were going to. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us tips on menu items and being so easy to chat to. We were dressed as nuns as we were enroute to a fancy dress but were welcomed with open arms. We ordered the lamb shwarma flatbread and the fennel salt and honey fries - it was amazing and just what the doctor ordered. Also, it was plenty enough for us two ladies. We also sat in the outdoor area which is really nice and cosy and the outdoor heaters kept us warm.”
