We were looking forward to our Chinese food. What a disappointment. The food was poor quality, tasteless, rice over cooked, chicken hard other dishes were of a poor standard. There was minimal sauce. We had the food delivered as it made no difference to timing. Also they only take cash.

Sometimes the chicken is very dry, I wonder where the sauce went. Not spicy enough and I don't understand why they cut the noodles!!! They are mini short noodles that I can't pick up with my fork!!! Noodles are long, not short.

We ordered a takeaway meal from hock was delivered in a reasonable time given we are 2 towns away. It was absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to order again!

We've ordered from here many times before as there are so few choices of takeaway around Peacehaven to Rottingdean. I was so disappointed with the roast duck. It was barely edible and all skin and bones. Picture attached. All the dishes are too salty, with too much black beans and soya sauce, with the bulk of a dish comprising fillers like onion, peppers, carrots and too little of the actual main protein ordered. To keep customers they will have to do so much better

I bought a meal for three and although it was a decent combo for value, the food was standard. What annoyed me is that the lady said she only accepted cash despite having the label for multiple card payments right on her counter. Her excuse was thats she "didn't have a card machine". That's inconvenient and looks dodgy during the best of times (how is the cash accounted for) but with the rise of contactless payments these days I do think refusing card payments is one way to stick a middle finger up at current events.
