Came for lunch with my husband and son. It’s rough and ready, as is the manner of the owner, but the food is authentic and so are the people. They were attentive and generous in their treatment of us and we really enjoyed the experience. Would definitely return next time we’re in Brighton.

My partner and I, had the lamb and beef lunchboxes. This is easily one of the best meals in the city.

I’ve just finished a meal at Mohammed - Spice of Life and it was delightful! The owners were lovely and very accommodating, despite it being busy they were able to serve and have food on the table in good timing!I had the Saag Paneer with some extra samosa and it was out of this world - As you can see from the photos I cleared my plate!Thank you to the owners for their wholesome service and deliciously traditional food.Definitely a spot to come to for some lunch/dinner at a good price if you’re by the Open Market or London Road - I’ll be back for sure!

Hands down the best place for a spot of lunch in the Open Market, if not in Brighton. Everything is so good about it, from the food to the atmosphere and the service. You feel like the guest of a Bangladeshi family who is cooking amazing food for you. I just want to find out how they get that chicken so tender... highly recommended!

My partner and our baby went to have lunch there a week ago . The place is family owned and has a total deal of Indian street food . There is no stress no corporate atmosphere. My baby wanted milk , my partner said I’ll go and buy some from the shops but the lady owner offered some and even heated it up for us .The food was lovely ! The samosas were so true to what I had when visited India . The main was a little bland for us , yes still lovely and the baby totally demolished it .I will definitely return , for more !

Ordered via deliveroo, quite possibly the worst food I've ever tried. I say tried because it was inedible amd had to be thrown away. Watery slop with dry chicken.

We were only in Brighton for one night and we were looking for good Indian/Bangladeshi food. Whenever we travel we try to avoid having something we can have at home. We like to avoid chains and tourist traps in favor of local, family owned establishments. Mohammed - Spice Of Life is exactly the kind of place we look for. We initially were planing to go to their other location, Bismillah - Spice Of Life, just around the corner. There was some confusion with the hours showing on Google and that location wasn't open when we arrived.I am so glad we continued on to Mohammed - Spice Of Life. I knew we had made the correct choice when we neared the restaurant and we were met with the amazing aromas coming from inside. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything is home made. It is fresh and tasty. The care the owners put into serving their dishes comes through in every bite. Beyond the delicious food, the owners honestly care that their guest are enjoying the food and the experience. If you are you visiting Brighton and want a truly memorable meal, don't be afraid to try one of these hidden gems, Mohammed - Spice Of Life or Bismillah - Spice Of Life. You will be glad you did.

After finding this hidden gem it has become one of my favourite places that I like to visit to have lunch. The owner/shop keeper is very nice and friendly and the food is always nice and warm and tasty! As someone who is vegan, I highly recommend their vegan lunch box and their vegetable samosas.Vegetarian options: They have a range of vegeterian and vegan options that are very tasty. I highly recommend their vegan lunch box and their vegetable samosas.

Their behaviour is way better than the biryani they served. hopefully they'll improve the taste and specially increase the portion.
