“Amazing family run pizzeria with daily specials. Have been here several times with my family and it doesn't disappoint. This time I tried the coconut cake and some gelato for pudding, just divine. Our go to place when visiting kids at uni. Also love the pear juice ?”

“Lovely dinner. I really liked the dough and the aubergine and smoked ricotta pizza was amazing. I was not impressed by the other one we got which had burrata (which I usually love).”

“Been several times here, introduced this place to a friend that really enjoyed it. Good value for money for adults @ £11.99, but I personally think for younger ones it should be less than £7.99 as smaller bellies can't quite eat the money worth. The food was replenished on a regular basis, an option for every taste.Vegetarian options: Various, tasty hot & cold vegetarian option.Kid-friendliness: Other that the price, that I think is a bit hight for younger ones, kids are very welcome, and staff do interact with them, well on my visit they did.”

“Great atmosphere and food; enjoyed the main course, although the appetizer could be improved. The staff, especially Fin, was exceptionally nice and kind.”

“In a street that doesn't need any more pizza, Sasso provides...more pizza. The product is a step above the Papa Johns and Food App (who still have their place if you are after 15" monsters and meal deals) and on a par with Colosseo across the road (who you would probably choose if you wanted a dignified sit-down meal with wine). They have shoehorned themselves into a niche that no-one knew was there and deservedly take a place on our local takeaway rotation.”

“I stopped for a quick lunch at Donatello with some friends when visiting Brighton. The Italian restaurant is a well-oiled machine, and although it’s a big restaurant, they are friendly and efficient with their service. They offer a set menu alongside a wide variety of pizzas, pastas and Italian main courses. The food is very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity - I couldn’t quite believe the size of my friends pasta dish when it arrive!I really enjoyed the food I had, including a tomato, avocado and burrata salad, and a calzone pizza stuffed full of ham, mushrooms and mozzarella. Everything was well seasoned and flavoursome, and the portion was very generous.Overall, I had a great first visit to Donatello Brighton, and I would certainly return in the future. It’s great value and clearly very popular with tourists and locals alike.”
